J-Rad
"If released, Owens would go through the league's waiver system, with the worst team getting the first shot of claiming him." Even if we did want to sign him, what does this mean in terms of our chances of doing so? A week ago, I was absolutely against signing TO. Now, with our offensive struggles, I'm not so sure... but it's probably wishful thinking that he will change his attitude here in Washington. So I'm still going to say no thanks. Morning Wood
If TO comes here, we risk the complete undoing of everything Gibbs has tried to put in place and build upon since he got here. No thanks. Quick fixes, never work... especially when their last name is Owens.
olive19
I hope this pile of **** gets run out of the league...enough is enough.
Larry Brown #43
He will clear waivers, because as I understand it, if you claim him you have to pick up his ENTIRE contract (all 4+ remaining years). Who would do that? No one. If he signs with a team, it will be to a new contract AFTER he clears waivers. And look, if we lose to the Chargers, there will be no point in signing him because our playoff chances would be dead at that point. I don't think he's playing for anybody this weekend.
