Tell Mr. Snyder to gas up Redskins One come free agency season, because we need this guy. More than anything else. Snyder has done a great job the past two seasons not overpaying for FAs in the Gibbs Years. This year he needs to do it, but for just one man. John Abraham. A pass rush. We need him so bad it hurts. He could put us over the top though. Imagine how much better our defense would be if we had a stud defensive end! Just imagine!

So, I am suggesting, let The Danny loose. Let him give Abraham a 10 mil signing bonus and overpay him for almost-Kearse money. I don't care. JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN BECAUSE WE NEED THIS MAN IN BURGUNDY AND GOLD NEXT YEAR.

Actually this is not that far fetched. We can package Ramsey with perhaps a late round pick. I wouldn't mind giving up that for him. We need him. But, I am not willing to give up Kearse money. But definitely pay him a nice signing bonus.

For whatever reason, the coaches like the big DEs instead of the smaller faster DEs that are usually the best pass rushers. They'd never sign a guy like John Abraham. He's too small for them.

You wont have the cap room. Look for the Eagles to make a run at him as a compliment to Kearse.

sounds like a good idea considering buffalo needs a qb, and we need a solid CB to play opposite of Springs. And if we did get freeny or abraham, that would bolster our d-line and make it solid against the run and pass rush. A big reciever, like plaxico burress would be nice and we'd have some one to go up high and make plays. However, i think we should get a DT or linebacker in the 2nd round and a reciever in the third. I'm sure there will be some good WR's available. But the most important thing is the defenseive line that needs to be addressed. I do like your idea of the qb to replace ramsey, but i dont think he would play for a while b/c of Campbell probably starting after brunell retires, but i like your logic.

However the chances of any of that happening are slim to none. The skins probably wont try to get a defensive lineman in FA, they will probably grab a reciever, like reggie wayne or randel el. But they will probably draft a d-lineman to fix the pass rush, and they will most likely no get another QB, but a LB to add depth if we play some more 3-4. or they could get a Saftey or CB to help play opposite of springs, and to play in the nickel package where multiple cbs, and safeties are used.

Lay off the crack. Nate Clements is probably a better corner that Champ Bailey, what makes you think Buffalo would trade a franchise level player for a crappy back-up QB and a fourth round pick (which we don't have by the way)?

An elite corner is the last thing in the world this team needs. We have over 20mm in bonus money tied up in Rogers and Springs, you're suggesting we bring that number to 37mm!

I'm not even going to address your Freeney comment. Players like that don't get to free agency unless they are Redskins.

Well guess what? We're going to HAVE to go the FA route to get an impact DE if you all want to see ANY change in the pass rush next year.

Our odds of drafting a guy who makes a serious impact on the DL next year in the 2nd round on is unlikely, especially with our scouting department.
