jbooma
Jacobs looked weak. He was never open today. I too, did not understand our forcing the ball to him. they had too because they were pounding Moss on the line, Jacobs had the chance to make some plays but didn't
RDSKNfaithfull
1st extensive playing time... a few more games starting will tellyou guys quit on everyone on this team The team quits on us  j/k We could support guys like skaggs and Cliff Russell till we are blue in the face but it will get us nowhere. It takes depth and good players to win in this league. We are not a really bad team, but we are far from a contender. We are all hoping we sneak into the playoffs and have a magical year but admit it their is no foundation here. Sean Taylor will be begging for a new contract key players will be cut that we think nothing of it and we will bring more Prelous and Stoudmires
Skins11
You gotta put those on Brunell.I find it very hard to believe that Gibbs would call the play and be like "Mark, throw it to Jacobs on this play". How many times did he do it today? 5-6? How many times was Jacobs open? ZERO! Exactly. Some of those passes could have been easily picked off too. I think Brunell just wasn't the same after that hit he took....

timitim
We wasted the whole drive on passes like this one. With 9 minuets left in the game we should have been running the ball more. I realize that we were turning it over alot running the ball but at least it was working. And our passing was even worse than that.
JerseyGator
This was Jacobs third start in two seasons with Brunell. His other two career starts were when Ramsey played most of the game. Few rookie WR are making a mark this year. It seems like the Skins playcalling was very predictable, a la Fassel and the Giants on many occasions. Doctor ToughLove
I think the writing is all over. as a fan watching since 83, i can honestly say this team sucks . with losses to ****ty teams like the giants, bucs and now raiders i don't think this team can beat their own meat. sign me ex fan cause this team is going nowhere Far from going nowhere, the Redskins are a 500-team now, a year&half removed from being the 5th worst team in the NFL. Only a coach as great as Gibbs could create expectations that would make that seem inadequate. Side note: the Giants & Bucs are currently in position to go to the playoffs, and have been above 500 all season, so they are far from "****ty teams" (unless you meant "grit-ty"). Win or lose, I am in the tank for the Redskins.

mookie0720
We need a decent sized WR!! Why does that matter? None of those passes could've been caught even if the guy running out there was 6'10.
dcoles11
Thank you again Spurrier, Jacobs was a great pick. He had man to man coverage alot today and he couldn't seperate himself and for some reason we kept throwing the ball to him. You can point directly to our drafts as the answer to why we have lost for over a decade now. We always make the wrong decision. Except when we picked Arrington, but we benched him earlier in the year, anybody else think we might have pulled out a win in any of those close loses we had when Lavar was benched. He's the best player we have. Thanks coaches for teaching him a lesson, really did the team alot of good.
DCMONEY
Being at the game, Me and my buddies kept pointing out how the Raiders played bump and run on Jacobs with no safety help. The only gripe I have with the long throws to Jacobs is that they didn't have him do a double move or something. They just hung it down the sideline. The Raiders constantly played one man on him with no safety help, yet Jacobs couldn't take advantage of it.
Mister Happy
Only 3 of the 11 passes to Taylor Jacobs were completed for a whopping 17 yards.
flexxskins
How many wasted throws did we make to Taylor Jacobs down the left sideline?Last week the defense let us down. This week the offense never arrived at the stadium. Worst offensive game of the year. I agree, those plays made no sense to me.
Phat Hog
How many wasted throws did we make to Taylor Jacobs down the left sideline? I think there were 5 of those (incomplete) passes. Two of them were on 3rd down. Maybe I am crazy, but I'd rather throw to Moss in coverage than Jacobs in coverage....not sure what the thinking was there. Jacobs couldn't even get away from coverage. flexxskins
I don't agree.... if you watch him in the set he is looking in jacobs direction the whole time waits three seconds and then throws the ball to let jacobs run under it and catch it.After all the talk about taylor jacobs this week i must say i am not impressed at all in him. He was not impressivly fast nor did he really try to get up and catch any of these passes. Are you kidding me? Jacobs demonstrated blazing speed. I was just amazed that he didn't have any type of moves to get open, double move, stop and go...nothing.

He created no seperation. Where does that show blazing speed?
Clark84
What was funny was they thought they had a mismatch with Jacobs and Asomungah. Obviously Jacobs could not use the speed to get separation so stop picking on the guy, we were lucky one didn't get picked off. I saw enough of Jacobs today to understand why he never is involved in the offense; no separation.

RIDETHEWALRUS
so many wasted throws. It was at least 4 or 5 downs, and he wasnt even open on one of them. Where are all the patten sucks and jacobs is a savior people now? I told you all patten made a difference, even when he wasnt catching balls it affected coverage. Jacobs had 17 yds. more than we would have expected from Patten. If you are going to question anything lets question Brunell's decision making. He decided to take a few shots at Jacobs (pretty much all bad decisions), but at least he was willing to take a sho. With patten in there he ignores that side of the field because he has so little faith in him.
prophet
is the season over? maybe we should give up on portis he fumbled twice.... let it play out if he stinks the rest the season he will be gone.... if gets better we have another starter for next season. He had man to man coverage alot today and he couldn't seperate himself and for some reason we kept throwing the ball to him. I couldn't believe that! He looked very slow and the defender could almost run right past him! No seperation at all. Well now we know what Jacobs can do. Not a whole lot. Time to finally get rid of him and look for someone else.
