LT was The Force
Flush him from the pocket! (He can't scramble.) Show him different looks! (He's brain dead.) Blitz him relentlessly! (He chokes under pressure.) I suffered this BUM for 7 years. He's REALLY HORRIBLE IN THE RED ZONE; force him to think quick, and the REDSKINS WIN going a-w-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-y! LT was The Force
Here's how we beat Kerry Collins sunday: We show up. The Raiders TB ain't bad Texas; if you guys can't stop the run, you're in for a l-o-n-g day.
jrockster21
Charles Woodson is listed as out...their best cornerback. That combined with the fact that its a home game should mean that we're going to go off on their defense. If ST does not play, we'll be in for a shootout. If ST plays, I think we win going away, as LT says. Here's to ST playing!!

Commander PK
Collins is a decent QB. He is certainly capable of putting up big numbers. Our defense will have to play a better game then they did against (Phil) Simms and the Buccaneers suddenly stellar offense.

Aussie, that's because it was really Phil Simms in his son's uniform. :40oz: Don't worry, Kerry Collins in no Simms. Just make sure you stop the run; force Collins to beat you with his brain, and Washington Wins!

The Bucs held our blitzing all day, and if the Raiders do the same, any QB can pick apart one on one coverage if they have time. Even a drunk Kerry Collins can do that. buckeyeG
I think we need to score 1st and not play from behind....we can really get CP going if we come out with an early score or two.
illone
Oakland's oline isn't quite as good as Tampa's. We'll do well in this game, I promise.
DEFENSEGURU
This thread needs to read 'FOR HOMERS ONLY". Have any of you noticed that the redskins defensive linemen are moving in slow motion at the snap of the ball. The last time a skins defensive lineman actually sacked a QB was about 7 years ago. They can't even SEE Collins from where they are. So how exactly are they going to FLUSH him out of the pocket? With a can of DRANO?
FarEastBeast
I heard before the Tampa game that their O-line was horrible. I heard the same thing before the Giants game. Our D-line turns undrafted rookie OL into pro bowlers.
jrockster21
Thats the exact game plain we played against Chris Simms. Not sure if you saw it, but it didint work to well. Gruden had Tampa in "max-protect", he's a Gibbs fan. He's said that he's modelled a lot of his offensive schemes off of Gibbs' schemes. So basically, that **** was using our own stuff against us!!!
36HAMMER
maybe they need to blitz mccune on his butt, put clemons out there i mean can he be any worse ?, and at least he seems to get pressure when he plays.they need to disquise their blitzes better. their as subtle as a bull in a china shop. if we let collins sit back there we are going have a serious problem sunday.also norv will give us a huge dose of running plays. LiveStrongSkins
If the blitz was uneffective against TB, then theres no point in even trying to against oakland. Moss wins a jumpball on every DB except ST. ST cant cover Porter and Moss at the same time either.
bubba9497
The Keys to beating the Raiders, 1. Control the ball 2. Score Early 3. Stop the Raiders from rushing 4. change up coverages to confuse & rattle Collins

Well, not to be negative, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Raiders score first in this one. Classic Norv would be a beautiful opening drive... Just playing the odds...
