I can't believe you found it them. Sweet!!! I found a $20 once at the food court. There's something about finding money that just make your day. TheDoyler23
I've never found more than a buck here and there. I have found money in the dryer here at my condo, which is nice. A friend last year found like 80 bucks on the ground outside the bar we were going into. We decided that if we heard someone at the bar freak out about lost money then we would return it. Nobody did, so he bought the drinks.
Leonard Washington
i found $100 on the ground next to a vending machine in my dorm. i scouped it up with the quickness. i then waited around for about an hour to see if someone would come back retracing their steps. when no one showed, i kept it. SkinsNut73
Many years ago I found $600 in the rest room at Giants Stadium....unfortunately, it was inside some guy's wallet. He must have dropped it while using the crapper in the men's room. I turned it in to stadium officials... ...but as for money I have kept...most I ever found was $5 in a Home Depot parking lot. I tend to have more luck "finding" my own money...leaving a $20 bill in a pair of pants that I don't wear that often....go to put them on again months later, stick the hand in the pocket and find the money. SkinsBry
I once found a wallet with $60 in it but no ID. I turned it in to the bowling center with my name and number in case it wasn't claimed. It was claimed and I didn't get as much as a thank you. I'll keep everything I find now. Heh heh. One of the things l love about the cold winters is the pocket check in late fall when I break out the winter jackets. I'll deliberetly leave money in the pockets in the spring so I feel like a lucky **** 7 months later.
The Mayor of Fed Ex Field
I went to this club a while back with a few of my freinds and my boy comes up to me and was like we need to leave now. I looked at him and was like alright and rolled out with him. He was nervous so I say, "what the hell is wrong man?" He pulls out this roll of hundreds. $1143 bucks, I remember it like it was yesterday. He found it on the ground and didnt even count it until we were in the car. Gave me $300 for rolling out with him.
MonkeySkin
It's probably strange... But I don't pick up money I see on the ground. I think that if I do, I'll probably lose some money... $1143 probably would be a different story though :yikes:

72SKINS
One time me an a friend were in Ocean City Md. it was on a whim we decided to head down. Anyway to make a long story short we spent just about all our money on beer and liquor without even thinking about gas money for home. Well we decided to hit the boardwalk and took a bus because it was pouring down raining. Got off the bus at a stop near our hotel when I stepped off the bus a 100$ bill was floating in a puddle.. we were saved, had enough for gas plus more partying. CaseyJones7
I was at the Casino once and noticed a guy leaving the winners window with this huge ear to ear grin. He was counting this wad as he was leaving, and all the sudden drops one bill. It might have taken me 1/2 second before I had my foot on it. I reach down and it's a $100. Had this well dressed guy not had such a huge stack of bills and had I not had such bad hands at the blackjack table earlier I might have returned it. I was like 18 at the time, if it happened to me today I would probably return it. Anyways, you can probably guess where that money later ended up. Temple
No joke: when I was 7-8 years old, I found what looked like a 1.5 karat cut diamond that had fallen out of someone's jewelry setting in a Hecht's dressing room while shopping for church clothes with my mom. I asked her what it was and she got this surprised look on her face; she scratched the mirror with it to check... We took it to the Hecht's security office and they made a non-specific announcement over the store speakers about a "lost piece of jewelery" to make sure that whoever showed up to claim it was the actual owner and could identify it properly, instead of just anyone saying "oh, yea, that's my diamond you were talking about..." Long story short, no one showed to claim it, we (my mom) got to keep it; she got it appraised by a jeweler and sure enough: it was a real diamond. Mom got it set into an old family ring that used to be her grandmother's and she still wears it today.

Predicto
I found $240 blowing down the street. There might have been more, but this was the South Side of Chicago and I didn't want to wait around to find out.
RedskinsNation
I once found a $50 dollar bill floating on the bottom of a swimming pool at a resort pool in MD. .....I was 12 and spent that $ in about 6 minutes. About 3 years ago when working as a doorman at a bar in DC we used to go around late in the evening before closing w/flashlights and would act like we were looking for someones purse and we would flip that flashlight around and i would routinely find $$$ once i found $150 under a barstool. gbear
I found a twenty between my car and an SUV parked right next to me in the parking lot of the New Caroltan metro stop on a random weekend day as I waas coming back from my parents in Philly. I looked in my wallet, and all my money was still there. When I looked over at the car, there was some paper half in and half out of the passenger side of the SUV. I figured it had fallen out. I crammed the twenty dollar bill under the door handle of hte drivers side so they couldn't miss it when they came back. I knew it wasn't mine, and I thought the odds were decent it was theirs. Regardless, I kind of wish I could have stuck around to see their face as they go to get in their car and the hand hits paper that turns out to be a twenty. As it is, maybe I'm better off becuase I can still think how cool I would feel if I found 20 bucks crammed in my door handle. Karma has been kind to me so paying a little back...least I can do. Seriously, I find money all the time while I'm walking my dogs. They stop at every peace of paper, and some of it is cash. I try to give it back to the neighbors if it's likely from any person in particular. However, almost half the money I find is by a school I run my dogs to. Since it's after hours, there is nobody to return it to, so that money I keep or give away to kids if the ice cream man is around when I get back near home. My wife rolls her eyes whenever I give back found money, but she loves me anyway.
bofluid
I once found 40 dollars being swept around by a gust of wind a gas station parking lot. I broke into a dead sprint for the cash. I was almost leveled by a passing car, but I guess times were hard and the risk was worth it. I've probably dropped $100 plus over the years. I can be quite careless with money. When I get change for a purchase I usually just stuff the bills in my pocket, without bothering to put the bills in my wallet.

Apparently, when people pull out cash for their drinks, it's possible they'll drop a bill or two.
