Carolina game report

Fun night! Just got back from Charlotte. Some observations:

- Ericsson is a very nice stadium. I've been to quite a few games there and it's a nice place to watch football. And the "Southern Belles" were out in force tonight in a major way. Not that I noticed or anything. Mercy!

- The new uniforms ROCK! They look much better in person than on the television (as uniforms usually do). Still like'em a lot.

- Matthews had decent numbers tonight and threw quite well around the end zone, but he doesn't seem as comfortable in the offense to me as Wuerfful does. It's nothing I can put my finger on specifically, but Wuerfful just seems more in command, more relaxed, more knowledgable about what he wants to do on a given play earlier than Matthews.

- Our QBs don't seem to care who they throw to. No favorites ... they spread the ball around to everyone. Still not much running, though.

- Our kickers looked very good. All three FGs looked right down the middle from where I sat. Kickoffs are short but high, which often gives a similar net.

- Panther fans are more interested in socializing than getting into the game.

Some highlights for Carolina: Fasani (2nd string QB) looked pretty good. Athletic and poised. Moved the team well. Deshaun Foster ran very well ... even aside from his long scoring run (Darryl Green ran him down EASILY and then blew the tackle on that play.) And just who in the hell is Anthony Bright?!

Thanks for the report. Sadly I did not get to see the game, wasnt on here. Plus it was my best friends b-day so I was out with him and couldnt "watch" the game over the net.

He was in the Arena League last year. I think he secured his spot on the squad.

I feel so bad for those WR's with the 2nd string of Carolina. That QB snuck in twice. What does a team learn about their players from that? the QB is a good backup? great?!?!?!
