NoCalMike
Mariucci now considers the next preseason game a "must"-win game. Now I know he doesn't mean that literally, but he said coming away with a WIN, is a priority. So obiously he felt a little embarrased after the debacle last week. He must think preaseason counts a little bit. He keeps saying the 49ers and Skins wanted to accomplish 2 different things in Japan, what if it was just the fact that we accomplished what we wanted, while the 49ers didn't, and he just can't admit it? redman
Can the man say anything consistently? And to think I actually used to admire the guy. Sheesh!
OrangeSkin
If there's one thing he's been consistent in it's that he DID care about the game. If he didn't, then he wouldn't dedicate all this time talking about it. He's trying to fit into the stereotypical good guy box, playing it off and accusing Spurrier of being classless, but he can't help talking about how he wants to win. Humbleness can kiss my white as$. Reaganaut
What a contrast between coaches. Spurrier shrugs off stuff like this, but Mariucci is getting all hot and bothered about it. I think he's got bigger problems to worry about than SS. He has T.O. to worry about. (Not that I'd cut the guy if he were on the Skins)

I would . The reason that I would, is quite seriously because of his attitude. Yeah, I would take a lot of flack from fans and stuff, but the way that he did treat Mooch last year was horrible. NOT ONCE last year, did he even claim a hint of responsibility for some of those dropped passes that he had last year. Nope, that was Mooch's fault. I wouldn't tolerate that crap, as a coach, nor as a fan. :stick: Terrell Owens
NavyDave
Mooch is a lame duck coach. The new ownership is cutting all ties to the Polict regime and unfortunately Mooch is the remaining piece. When they were all too willing for him to go to the Bucs, the writing was on the wall. As far as the whiner fans, those fools dont know how lucky they had it with him the past few years considering they got a slap on the wrist for cap circumventing and was still able to post 10-12 win seasons albeight being in the cake NFC West. I still say if the 9ers of the 80's played in the NFC East with us the midgets, etc there wouldnt be multiple superbowls for them to talk about where as if us or the midgets were in the west we'd be on our second hand for measuring fingers for rings.
