When you hear people bash the skins season as being over....

I know there are a lot of skins fans on here who still fully believe in that the burgandy and gold can make it deep into the playoffs.........however there are many who have been so much so disgruntled by what has happened NEARLY half way into the season that they are 'abandoning ship' and giving up (well at least for this week, next big win they will jump back on board) remember guys, it is a 16 game season, in a span of four games every single sports writer gains new 'perspectives' on things a team that is 'power ranked' in the 20s is all of a sudden a top 5 nfl team this weeks MVP is all of a sudden a selfish crybaby who cares about no one on the team except himself.....

I know that there are many skins fans who are stayin loyal and who are 'constructively' critizing the skins.....but there are many who are way overthinking last week as just a us having a terrible day and the Giants not only playing there best game on all sides of the ball, but having a bigger advantage then just homefield with the loss of the Great Mara (know his grandson by the way, great family).

So when you are watching the Pregame show this sunday and everyone and there mom is bashing the skins remember this:

ohh how we forget....I want to say this first as I have said, and also any NFL analyst who has any inteligence.....anything can happen in this upcoming season.....let me say that again ANYTHING.....it is very easy to take what has happened and look back and point out the evidence as to why it happened.....but before it happens this prediction is more opinion then it is a factually based outlook.....

Lets first look at San Fran....no one, and I mean no one is giving them a chance....they are a team that people believe has given no chance to get close to being a 500 team, then they do to even make the playoffs....looking at the team itself, I can not come up with any concrete evidence as to why I think they will make the playoff...however if you look at recent history in the NFL you could easily come to another conclusion.....my evidence to this is case in point the Chargers.....before last season they were worse off to most EXPERT analysts then that of the 49ers (going into the season) Rivers, the player of which was going to be used to rebuild the franchise, held out for two weeks and would now not start which meant Drew was starting....well everyone said he this guy was DONE....and I mean everyone....anyone who now says they thought of him as anything more then an interim QB is kidding themselves....I remember clearly people saying the team had NOTHING, a terrible defence, no skill players beside LT and had no chance.........you would think that they were a million to one shot....and they really never were....Drew made the Pro Bowl and they were viewed as a team with an amazing future, because they had such depth.....DEPTH??? Who ever saw them as having depth going into last season??

I have gone into great detail on this subject but there are many other instances if you take a glance at the upcoming season and can say, you know what, WHY NOT? Why can't Dallas play like they did two years ago? Why can't Philly crumble the way Tampa did after they won the Super Bowl? Why can't Chicago come out of no where the way....THEY DID three years ago?

I will probably be wrong on a good amount of my predictions....however my point is this....so will many of the predictions made by people (yes people not analysts because they are just as justified on their prediction as you and I) in the paper and on that four letter network.........

Why do I think this as to do with the skins? Because the skins have just as much of a chance to make the Playoffs....make the Super Bowl...gain the number one pick in the draft :( as anyone else.....so all you extreme fans....keep believing....ignore fatquerelli, ignore Sally Jenkins......the skins can do it!

You either are a skin fan or you're not.

You either stick with the skins through the good times and the bad, or you're a loser.

Only a loser would watch the redskins only when they are winning.

Exactly. It was SO hard to watch that game on Sunday, but I stuck through it. Only real fans can move past a game like that and keep the faith.

No matter how the season ends I will allways root for the Skins to win every game they play. But when Betts fumbeld that ball at the second half I knew right then this game was not meant to be. I turned off the tv then listened to it on the radio. It killed me. I enjoy watching by Skins finnish a game ,but I could not take It. Looking Forward to a win this Sunday. They have to win this division game, no Ifs, ands ,or buts. :helmet:

The redskins are MY team.. That team belongs to me.. Just like it belongs the other true fans out there..

It's like a good friend or a brother.. YOU can give them all the crap you want, but let someone outside the circle do it and it's time to fight.

I am sick of the skins fans who give up after one bad outing. Look what the skins have done for the rest of the season. Our offense is looked great throughout the first 6..... yea count 'em 6 straight games. How do you guys have such little faith in your team. We will be just fine. If you don't think so then there are 31 other teams that you can pull for. I for one will always be a skins fan til death. :eaglesuck :eaglesuck :eaglesuck

I'm with you brother. I watched up up to the last second! My wife asked my why I was punishing myself and I explained:

"This is my team, I watch ever last second when they win and I will do the same when the lose no matter how bad!"

Some of you homers have no clue what a fan is. You are closer to be stalkers than fans.

Fans can criticize their team and fans are free to predict that their team won't make the playoffs. Homers/stalkers never see anything wrong EXCEPT with people who criticize their team or opinion of the team.

Get over it. Fans can talk about the team the way they want. If you are a homer/stalker...realize that not everybody is blind to mistakes, poor coaching decisions and bad drafts and trades.

It's one thing to criticize a team in a respectful manor.

It's something else when they are crying and ****ing.:mad:

Only losers cry and *****.

I have ran teams, and one thing I absolutly refused to allow. Was for any one player to say anything bad about another player, or their performance.

If someone messed up, I know they didn't do it on purpose and to cry and ***** about it would only make things worst.

So I would just say things like "Good try", or "You did good, but your opponant just made a great play, you'll get 'em next time."

I think that we as fans should show our support an all seasons, on all games, and on all plays.

I do love winning, who doesn't. But their is more to football than just winning.

I enjoy all of football, the hits, the diving attempts, the cheerleaders.

During the Giants game we were losing bad when Taylor cracked a guy and got a late hit penulty.

At that point I figured, "Hey, if we're going to lose, we might as well hit some players!" :silly:
