Doctor ToughLove
Davis is a good back, but for some reason he fumbled for us at the most inopportune times.. very true. it was just that smile on his face after he did it, that really burned me up.I'm with you guys, Davis was a mixed bag. Davis had good numbers but was not good in the clutch (a better version of Rod Gardner who was also like that). Which has also been manifested with Carolina, after the Dallas game he disappeared in the post season, DeShaun Foster had to take over. I also did not care for the fact that Davis called a teammate an "injury prone fag" and thought he got a slide on it just because he got beaten up. No_Pressure
Davis is a good back, but for some reason he fumbled for us at the most inopportune times. I bet there'd be a million threads harping on his turnovers and calling for his head. THANK YOU Somebody else remembers games like vs. Arizona in...what was it 2000 or 2001? Where Davis coughed the ball up on the goal line and Arizona returned it 99 yards for a TD.
Billy Bullocks
stop telling what gibbs lieks gibbs knows whats he likesgibbs likes porits or he would not trade for porits he even mentions his fav players in the teams are santana, brunell, portis those are his guys he choose to get them Quiet you. Please use punctuation, it would be a dramatic help to all of us trying to decipher what you just said. Davis would have worked out better than Portis. You don't have to sign Springs, you can retain Smoot(and theres no lake for him to pull his stunt). Bailey and Smoot sounds better than Harris and Springs, now doesn't it? >>Spearhead>>
Davis is as close to home as the NFL will get him, he is a native of Spartanburg SC
Bring Stephen Back
Gibbs wouldn't have cut Davis, he goes perfect with that offense. Spurrier cut him for the fun-n-gun:doh: Plus Davis said he wanted to be a redskin for life, he's loyal to the skins like Gibbs.
redskns21
Moz, you just posted this http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1790849&postcount=10 in which you state... portis will have few 2000+ yards as a redskins watch joe gibbs to make the dirtbags really good and i promise u in the future our offense will rally on porits back to win games he will be our offense *btw did u know if portis did not get into the draft in 2001 as a junior he would have been a first round top 5 pick for the 2002 draft* Now you post a thread wishing Stephen Davis had never left :whoknows:. SlinginSammy HOF '63
Davis is on his last legs. He struggling badly this season. He'd be good as a changeup but not a starter anymore. Power runners usually don't have long careers.

Waleo32
Stephen Davis is a better fit for the skins. Spurrier messed us all up. A healthy SD would kill with Joe. He's the perfect Joe Gibbs back. Patient, follows blockers, and when healthy is explosive. Plus he doesn't slip everytime he's about to make a cut. STOP THE MADNESS, I BEG YOU!!! first off all get your facts straight i did't say "i wish davis never left" i was hopeing he would be done with his career in washington and not have to go to a diffrent team. and i made this thread to know why he left and it has nothing to do with CP's thread so stop trying to act like a smartass........ TODD
All bickering aside... I'd like to see him finish his career here for some short-yardage and goal-line carries. He lost a LOT of luster when he fumbled against Dallas on MNF when were running the clock out in a 7-6 which we lost 9-7. That hurt bad (who else remembers this)... I don't think I've really forgiven him. But again, I'd like to see him back, it would be a nice gesture to bring a guy come back that we brought up. rvan1
we cut him cuz of spurrier and his HUGE contract... pretty much, we couldnt afford him. he's been semi productive since, on and off the field with injuries since he left... we could prolly expect the same had he stayed. You know maybe, just maybe if you bothered to take the time & make yourself articulate & use some punctuation, people here could understand you a tad bit better. A spell checker wouldn't hurt either. Dallas, MNF, and we HAD that one. I remember we challenged the call, but it was useless, since it was obviously a fumble. Just one more win, and we'd have been 9-7 and in the playoffs. But we finished 8-8, not in the playoffs. The Giants would have made the playoffs that year if they had been 8-8.
