Guest skinsmatic
What they are Right about. It appears that we are the weakest team in our division. What they are wrong about. That the Redskins aren't a very good team. The Redskins are slightly above average team but unfortunately slightly Above average isn't good enough unless your in the nfc north. What I was hoping, was Gibbs and company would be able to get us over the hump by out coaching in other words out study/prepare than The Giants and Eagles coaches and talent would get us over on Dallas, figuring that Parcells worked just as hard as Gibbs. Then after the way Gibbs "Rope_A_Dope" Dallas, I thought that was a sure thing. Now, I don't think thats the case. The coaching staff of the other NFC east teams are equal to ours in everyway. Which leads me to the conclusion that the winner of the NFC East will be the one that can motivate there players the most. And the problem I see with Gibbs this time around he still using the "we are the under dogs, no way we can beat this team or that team unless we play a perfect mistake free game and cause them to make mistakes. To me this mentality has to stop, we aren't gonna sneak up on anybody, and I don't think that any team we play is going to be over confident. Its time for the no-nonsense taskmaster approach. People joked about how The Giants took their coach to arbitration over how hard he worked them and how much of a hard nose he is, well it looks like that might be paying off now. Coughlin didn't change his atitude one bit I'm not saying Gibbs needs to be just like Coughlin, but it time some of these players are called out and put on the spot, not have players saying stuff like I don't know Why I'm not playing. And that includes this coaches including Bugle and williams if your players are giving up long rules then get in that coaches butt until he get in the players and if your players are false starting then get in his butt like a doctor doing a colon test. Here are a couple Coughlin quotes in the new york paper. Coughlin reiterated that his approach to football is rule-orientated, although he showed a sense of humor in discussing it. With a smile, he noted that his assistant coaches can now wear sun glasses during practice. He said most of his other rules have not changed, including the one mandating that players sit in meetings with their feet on the floor. “That, I believe,” Coughlin said a day after signing a four-year, $12 million contract. “I have spent a lifetime trying to improve concentration and focus. I don’t know how a guy who is slouching can pay attention to what is going on.” Coughlin also raised eyebrows referring to last year’s rash of injuries as “a cancer.” New York had 12 players put on season-ending injured reserve. “It is something that has to be corrected,” Coughlin said. “It is a mental thing I believe as much as anything else.” And all see how Parcells puts the smack down even on coaches. So what I'm saying is its time, if clinton portis wants to do cartwheels after scoring a TD against SF but then next week, he only gets 9 yards have his ass doing cartwheels up and down the field in pratice. All out the coaches in the post game conference, somebody is accountable, unless the problem is Gibbs only, which I don't think it is, but more disicipline needs to be given to this team both players and coaches, if they want to compete with the rest of the NFC. I with you on this one! You have to perform when it really really counts, then we all can be celebrating.

BigRay
It still pretty early , I think to get an actual read on this team I do not believe they are as bad as they look against The Giants I refuse to believe that but may not as good as they look against a weak Niners team I see a solid team a team that has improved over last year think about it where where were we at this time last year ? It's a team that has to play well in every phrase of the game to be successful you know how some teams can make mistakes but good enough to overcome them don't think the Skins is at that level yet where they can feel they can make mistakes and overcome them..
