JackP
In the preseason Patrick Ramsey was the man. On the third play of the ist game in Chicago the coach made a tough decision based on a gut feeling to start his old warhorse. What happened in NY? It was obvious early on that Mark was having a bad day. Why wasnt another tough decision made that would allow the team to go forward in spite of Marks' off day? I dont get it. We have an able backup in Patrick Ramsey that was not utilized. Are we not trying to win football games? JP
dfitzo53
I like Patrick Ramsey, but you can't go changing quarterbacks willy-nilly in any football league, least of all the NFL. Brunell's going to have bad games, but unless he gets injured or shows a trend of poor performance across several weeks it just isn't smart to bench him so quickly. Skinz_4_life
one bad game.... brett farve threw 5 INT's(i think) and still managed to attempt a comeback. patrick was benched because the first three possesions he was in resulted in turnovers. brunell was benhced because the game was out of reach and joe didnt want to risk getting him injured (the line couldnt BLOCK a punch from a man with no arms) u cant just switch quarterbacks just because one is having a bad day its not good and it throws off moral. grego
dude- #1- there were 9 drops by the receivers. 9! #2- you dont change QB's when your current QB is the #1 ranked QB in his conference just cuz he has a bad game, even if he was having a bad game, which he wasnt nearly as much so as were the WR's, RB's, TE's and everybody else on the team. #3- are you insane? And second , i think he pulled Brunell yesterday so he didnt get injured, and was just being causious(sp?) because the game was out of reach at that point. Doctorfro
I don't believe he turned it over on every possesion. And at least one was NOT his fault.

I wouldn't sugar-coat it. Mark Brunell had a bad game. His throws were off, including the one straight to a Giants linebacker. Even if he played hurt he played poorly. That said, you still can't change quarterbacks on a whim.
