LiveStrongSkins
Book it. The defense the last few games in my opinion has been playing on their reputation. Running backs and receivers just arent going to roll over and play dead because Gregg Williams has a good defense. I think this week of practice will be the hardest one yet and the players will see this as gutcheck time. I think players like Arrington, Taylor, and Washington will take it very personal and come out smokin Sunday night. What better way to come out and make a statement then at home and on Sunday night against a hated rival. Sometimes it takes a game like that to regain focus for both players and coaches. We will come out smacking Philly. Be prepared for alot of crunching hits and tackles for losses.

Mordy
i sure hope so. Arrington Has moved up the food chain with Holdmans poor play. Hopefully Cornelious will be back.
More Complete
Gregg Williams doesn't actually perform so it's really the players who will have a great performance. j/k I hope you're right, this D should be doing much better than it is. dfos81
I feel the same way and what will all the bandwagon jumpers have to say then? I can't wait to see how the Skins respond to this eye opener. 3-4 is going to really confuse the Eagles b/c the Skins don't have alot on tape to see out of this formation and LA should get alot of PT. Carlito Sway
Gregg's playcalling was suspect yesterday. Seems like every blitz he called got exploited for a long run. It was like clockwork; CB or safety blitzes, Tiki takes a delay or a screen for a first down. Looked desperate yesterday trying to get any pressure; depressing. TC4
Well, we do have two things going for us going into next week 1. The Eagles running game is almost non-existant 2. T.O. got most of his yards(Like that 91 yard TD play in the 3rd) because Champ "Overrated" Bailey stayed in the game way too long with a hamsting injury. We got enough help in the secondary to handle him
APBT
If we don't have the juggernaut in the middle, look for more runs to take out the Linebackers.
G-Prime
I hope so. In years past we've seen the skins start our "ok" only to crumble.

ohioskinfan
With our injurys to the D-Line, we are in trouble. When healthy we cant pressure the QB, so dont get too fired up on our D this week.

I agree...and our Dline wasn't strong to begin with. Schemes will only take you so far...you have to have healthy, talented players to carry it out. Doctorfro
It's absolutely necessary if we want to beat a p***** off Eagles team.
GO GO SKINS
We will see! Sure the team can come out like that OR they can come out without inspiration too.
Idaho fan
I hope your right. I also hope that the Offense under gibbs gives a much improved performance. Yet since last week I was so sure the Skins would come out and play well in a close win, this week I am going to avoid making any predictions. :logo:

PREDICTOR
The Redskins secondary is average and the poor pass rush makes it even worse. T.O. will get a TD....LJ Smith could get one....and Westbrook might run for 2. I think the Eagles score 4 TD's against the Skins...so the Redskins will have to score at least 31 points to win this game...but if they win it won't be due to the defense. LiveStrongSkins
We will see! Sure the team can come out like that OR they can come out without inspiration too. I think with FedEx field going nuts and it being a national game on ESPN, they will want to come out fired up and prove last week was a fluke. skinsmania123
Oh they will be inspired. They were embarrassed this past Sunday. And the D does have something to prove.
Mister Happy
The Redskins secondary is average and the poor pass rush makes it even worse. Yeah. The Skins #1 ranked pass defense is a joke. They have the #2 best pass defense as far as opponent's completion percentage, but they will really suck now that Walt Harris and Shawn Springs are both healthy. Those rankings are just a mirage because they only played 4 out of the top 7 offenses, and they got to play the Giants.

Capt'n Obvious
I think if Griffin is back in and healthy, then the D-line can get some penetration and stop the run and maybe force some turnovers. :helmet:
