flyingtiger1013
http://www.nbc4.com/news/5213571/detail.html FLORENCE, S.C. -- Investigators in South Carolina are looking into a hay ride accident Sunday night that killed four people, including a 2-year-old child. Authorities said an 18-wheeler slammed into a farm tractor pulling the trailer the victims were riding on. According to investigators, the truck was traveling the same direction as the hay wagon. The truck's driver tried to swerve to the left to avoid hitting the wagon. At the same time the driver of the tractor also swerved in the same direction to avoid being hit. The truck hit the tractor and the wagon broke away and spun around, throwing the passengers. At least 14 people were injured. Charges haven't been filed, but the investigation is continuing. Authorities said the trailer didn't have taillights.

BG
So tragic. Just because of some a*shole. I have a few buddies that practice law up there and I hope to God they don't take that jerkoffs case...
skinsfan44
The driver of the 18 wheeler was charged with DUI. As a trucker myself, this guy should know better then to drink and drive a 40,000 lb truck. But the question I have is what was the haywagon doing on the road carrying people with NO LIGHTS??? If it had lights, maybe, just maybe this could have been avoided but the trucker is in the wrong here because of the DUI.
