killadingo
On I believe the Giants' first drive, they converted a long 3rd down on a sideline catch by Plaxico. Does anybody remember this? They showed the replay a couple times and to me it looked like he got his one foot down but his knee hit out before his second foot came down. Of course we prevented the TD that drive and they settled for a FG. But I was perplexed why we didn't challenge that, because they would have punted and who knows how things would have been after that.

Loyal2Washington
I think it would have ended the same way my friend. Don't read into a Burres catch or non-catch, look at the first play of the game, that's all you need to know. :eaglesuck :dallasuck :gaintsuck
grego
eh...the skins lost 36-0. i think it was a non factor in the eventual outcome.
Matador36
We didn't challenge that but we challenged Royal's non catch? WTF?
ncsuapex
Ok, if it makes you feel better, we would've lost either 33-0 or 29-0.
Rocky21
I know there are a lot of things to be frustrated about but it seems like we still can't get the challenge thing right. It wouldn't have affected the outcome one bit but that was definitely not a catch! My wif heard me screaming "Challenge it!" at the TV and told me later she thought I was gonna have a coronary. HailYeah
Of course we could have challenged that, also could have challenged the ST interception in the first quarter. Would it have changed things? With the way our offense played....no. Maybe it would have been 29-0.
Leonard Washington
the giants could have beat us 3-0 yesterday.

I deleted my recording after Betts' fumble but had always wanted to go back and watch that play. Did the ball hit the ground? That would have been a sick interception! OVCChairman
1 catch doesnt determine the game, but it can change the momentum. But i think the Tiki Barber runs did more then that one catch did
NoCalMike
Actually the worst call of the day was the officials calling the Deion Branch non-catch, a catch. It was so obvious the ball was moving around and touched the ground, but the officials all hurried and scurried like they were in a hurry to call it a catch so the Pats could have a chance to win.......such biased garbage. Did the ball hit the ground? That would have been a sick interception! I looked to me like an INT. And quite an athletic one at that. He had control of the ball and his hand was underneath it. It did not touch the ground. If they overturned it though...where would they have spotted the ball.

da#1skinsfan
Looked to me at first like ST dropped it, but upon watching the replays, looks like he cradled the ball in his arms, it didnt touch the ground. I guess we'll see for sure when someone posts a video up. As for the Plaxico catch, it was bull. What else is new?
Chachie
I saw 2 or 3 "challengeable" plays yesterday that went unnoticed by Gibbs and company. It only shows that even the coaching staff showed up asleep. This game was a total farce and we never had a chance. The Redskins just did not bring anything to the contest. I guess we'll see for sure when someone posts a video up. I did TIVO it and rewatched it several times in SloMo and while it looked like he was able to get his hand underneath it there is no way in hell they would have found it conclusive enough to overturn it. Just be thankful they didn't flag Taylor for interference on the play. Either way, it would not have mattered since Ryan Clark intercepted the ball a few plays later.
