OldTownFan
The way I see it, we are 4-3, and about to play the Eagles, the premier NFC team for the last two years. If the Redskins lose, they drop further down the NFC East, and then head to Tampa Bay to play a very tough Bucs team, that could put them in a 4-5 position and on a 3 game losing streak, something that could really snowball. The Redskins need a win on Sunday, it puts us back into NFC east contention, within our division, giving us a 2-1 division record, and a 5-3 overall record Redskins fans, speak and for all the fair weather idiots, please go to the following websites fairweather.com idontknow****.net beginnerfootball101.com

Destino
As good as the division is this year I think next week is a must win. - You must win your home division games. - It's important to bounce back after a loss like today's - We haven't been good on the road this season and that makes home games even more important. ---- Having said that your fair weather comments are stupid. The redskins haven't been a good enough team to have any fair weather fans. If we ever did they left in the late 90s. Stop calling fans upset with a truely disgusting showing fair weather, the fact they stay around after todays showing is proof they aren't just here when things are going right. asnpcwiz
If the Eagles lose this game, the win next week will be crucial. It will make a definite give a definite last place holder in the division and the Redskins DO NOT want to be in that spot. I hope we show up next week and I hope we are ready to play because today's game was a disgrace.

28rdsknsfn28
Yes we must win this game. Todays loss is hard to take because it was so bad. We lost in every aspect of the game. A loss at home could spell the end for our playoff hopes. We have a tough scedule and end with 3 nfc east games. We always seem to split with the Giants and I think we can beat them at home. Lets keep up the support for our team and keep showing our colors.
Ignatius J.
Destino and I have had a few disagreements about what a "must win' game is. Next week at home against the eagles is the FIRST must win game of the season in my book. We win, and we're doing FINE. We lose, and we are not. Warhead36
It's a must win to keep our playoff hopes alive. Early I know, but 5-3 and 2-1 in the division would be nice. I thought we would finish 8-8 and we're still guaranteed of at least a .500 record halfway through so it won't be too bad if we lose.

Interestingly Doc was talking about just what I was telling you last week. You have to win important games when your team is healthy. You'll understand why I said today was a must win if on the 24th Brunell is unable to play. In this league you never know who is going to go down and when it's going to happen. All games against division rivals when your team is near full strength are urgent becuase odds are good that near the end of the season you will be hurting a great deal more. Billy Bullocks
If you don't win this game, you may be in trouble. TB is going to be a very tough game. McNabb is hurt, and that gives you a good shot at winning. -You lose, you sit at 4-4. with a 1-2 divisional record. I personally see the Dallas game as what started this recent hot streak for you guys. Honestly, I'm saying this is as objectively as possible, me being a Cowboys fan, but this team is way overrated. Yes, they've put up big numbers offensively. But the way I see it, Dallas and Seattle are games you guys should have lost. I give credit to you guys for finding a way to win, because in the NFL that's all that matters. The offensive line got thoroughly dominated today. Dallas held Portis to 52 yards on 17 carries. Today, the running game was not even there really. Brunell was under fire all day. I see how much blame Samuel is catching, and I agree. Today, he was abused all over the place. The defense definately didn't show up. Your defense is the strong point of this team. But I thinkl they will get exposed over the course of the season. Moss is a great gamebreaker, but the lack of possession WR in your offense is going to catch up to you as well. Brunell needs to be kept on his feet. He can't take 5 sacks if you guys are going to win. And someone pointed it out, and from what I saw, he did look a bit hurt. Ramsey aint gonna get it doen, and I don't wanna say it, but your team is going to go as Brunell goes. And that may not be the most encouraging thing to hear. OldTownFan
Fairweather fans are all over the place here. When the weather was fine, and the sailing was smooth, note last week. One, very very, disgracefully played game, and I'm hearing... "Brunell is old, lets go with Campbell" "Samuels never had it, and never will" "Hodman is a bum" "Clark is a bum" Thats fairweather, get over it, thats fairweather, because nobody made these comments when the what.... weather was fair, and we were 4-2. We lose one bad game and people act like the sky is falling out. The mark of a coach will be visible for all to see in the way our beloved Redskins play on Sunday night against the birds. skinsfan080
We have to split with Philadelphia and New York. I think if we want to do that, we have to win the home game next week against Philadelphia, caues I dont know if we can win there yet. We know what happened in NY, so obviously the xmas eve game is huge.

First of all, your not very wise, because a wise man would understand it's not possible for a Cowboys fan to be objective when viewing the Redskins. Ask me what I think of the Cowboys? Their ****. see what I mean? A case could be made that we should be 6-0, and thats following your same illogical logic. Should have lost the Cowboys game buddy? How about Roy Williams, should have known Where Santana Moss was at all times?? Theres a should have for ya
Bacon
Every game is a must-win. The reason we lost today is because we weren't thinking like that.

skinsngibbs4life
this game is obviously a must win game. Our division is so competitive, that if we slip to 4-4 half way through the season, we are going to be in real trouble. this is how I see the playoffs going this year... -you have the obvious division winners. -The 2 wild card teams are going to come from the NFC south and the NFC east So, that means that we will have to be at least in second place to make the playoffs. We already have one loss to the Giants, and if we loose the philly next week, it just puts them 1 step closer to 2nd place. I don't know, but I think that these next two games are going to be a huge character test for us.
OldTownFan
need, have, and must all mean the same thing what is has been was and this is quoting mark brunell "it would be nice if we could get this one" (speaking of today's game) that mentality will get you violated in this league and in this conference

"Holdman is a bum" has been said in our wins and losses all year. The samuals issue is debated in the offseason all the time. Brunell is too old....you really did think these posts would surface? The QB problem has yet to be solved, Brunells great play this year leads me to believe we found our answer for this year...but that isn't a solution and a lot of fans still have their doubts about him. I don't see how any of that descibes a fair weather fan. If the team sucks you talk about how crappyt they played and why. If they win you talk about how well they played and why. Through it all you continue to root and support your team. Why is that so hard for you thin skinned people to grasp?

Also I think Mark is the answer this season, he's played great, and he may go on to have his best season ever. Don't know how that makes me a fair weather fan, but thin skinned drama queens rarely make much sense to me anyway. I'll continue to post my honest opinion either way. "The QB problem" so you just stated you STILL BELIEVE WE HAVE A QB PROBLEM, and are not content with one hell of a one year solution, and thats a one year minimum. And nobody said **** about Samuels this offseason the way they are saying something about him now. look, your ****ing about our QB after a bad loss, after a great win you said nothing. I'll let people read that and draw their own conclusion because obviously you don't see what is so blatent to the vast majority of fans on this board.
