Drockvb
Maybe getting spanked is what this team needs. After spanking the niners all the talk was about how great this offense is. Well it's the Giants, the biggest game for the skins up to this point and the skins are laying an egg. I think loosing like this is going to be a big wake up call for this team and coaches. Because really folks, a 4 or 5 game offensive explosion does not make for a "great Offense". The test of time might prove this offense to fall to middle of the road. hail2skins
Could have a point....if we're gonna go down, may as well be in flames. Dropped passes, turnovers, missed tackles.........this team just isn't in it today, and needs to be called out this week before Philly comes in. SlinginSammy HOF '63
No you don't need this. We need to get spanked about the same way we all need at broken arm. Losing to a divisional opponent is never good. I dn't are how you candy coat it I could never see any positive in playing like the Niners did last week. Califan007 The Constipated
There isn't a single thing about the Skins performance today that is reflective of their performance all season...it's baffling beyond belief.

Agreed. I can't believe what I'm seeing today. No matter what the final score is, this team has been absolutely atrocious today. In absolutely every phase of the game. There are NO positives right now, except Cooley is back in the game. That's it, nothing else.
Ghost of
We were 4-2 coming in, hardly worthly of getting our tails handed to us.

FarEastBeast
We did NOT need this, 4 running plays all game because of our atrocious playcalling, offensive line play, and defense. This isn't a wake up call this team is going to fall apart.
Boss_Hogg
Yeah this looks like a Spurrier team.

SlinginSammy HOF '63
This isn't a wake up call this team is going to fall apart. Agree. No good can come from this. I feel more positive about almost beating the Donx and Sqaws on the road than laying a turd in the Sewerlands. They look totally clueless. I'm just more and more amazed at how they can look worse and worse. Just when you think they've hit rock bottom in this game they pound through the rock to go deeper. scottlo34
I have been saying this since the score hit 26-0. The players, the coaches and some of us fans needed to be brought back to earth and we need to re-focus for the Eagles. This team needed to be humbled with a good ass kicking. We have the talent to win. We have the coaching staff to take us there. we as fans, are the best in the NFL. However, this team needs to quit reading the papers, watching sportscenter and listening to the call in shows. Great fuel today to get back to basics and re-organize. We'll be fine but let's get humble again folks.
cscmtp
Gibbs will have plenty of fuel this week, that's for sure. I just hope BOTH lines can forget this week, and play more like they have all year. The lines KILLED us today, no doubt. Just painful to watch... BigRay
Yup, you hit it on the head kinda of a reality check still think this is a pretty good team but you going to have days like this they just didn't match the giants intensity on either side of the ball. How this team reacts next week against the Eagles will actually tell where is this team is oh well back to the drawing board.
seanyt
Well we all have our opinions of if we needed or not needed, IMO This game will be a wake up call, Our O-line couldn't block off a paper towel, Nobody knew how to hold the damn ball, the D was the strong point for the longest time only giving up F.G.'s keeping us statistically point wise still in the game for a little over half the game, but even the D needs a little time off the field to re-energize. Turnovers so on and so forth. This will be a wake up call, there is no way on earth Gibbs doesn't address all these issues and get them fixed. dpass
We may have needed a wake up call, but DAMN not like this.
Craig
The eagles got whooped by Dallas This is hardly a valid comparison. The Eagles have proven over the years that they are a good team that sometimes gets killed. But the Skins haven't proven sh*t this year, or in recent years. We don't know if the Skins will come back with a vengeance (something they haven't shown for years) or go down without a fight. This game was very worrisome, because it exposed the Skins as probably , yes, a bit oberrated for what their record is.
askounes
The Redskins did not need to lose 36-0... that's insane. There's not enough games in the season to drop one for lesson's sake. This is the worst game I think I've ever seen the Skins play (been watching since the late 70's)... just awful from top to bottom, from coaching to special teams. I'm just going to hope that everyone just happened to have an awful game at the same time, and we can come back next week. But that still doesn't explain how Coach Gibbs laid such an incredible egg in such a huge game... ah, well...
