orlskinsfan
Skins need to put up or shut up..this is a big game no 2 ways about it...in order to be taken seriously we need to go on the road and win a big game...i know Monday night was a big game against dallas but most people regard that as a fluke victory...we need to go out against the g-men and take them behind the woodshed! N.YFootballGiants
Turnovers are there one week and gone the next. Turnovers do determine the outcome of games, but when looking at a game statistically, I don't think you can say one team will because of it. Look at the Giants, before Dallas our turnover ratio was like +18 or some ridiculous number like that, then we turned it over 4 or 5 times (IN ONE QUARTER, gulp) against Dallas. If your turnover ratio is deceptively high, ours may be deceptively low. Before last week, we'd forced something like 9 fumbles and had only come up with 2 of them. All I know is that this is going to be a hell of a game. I just can feel it.

Youve made the playoffs 1 time in 14 years and are 4-2 due laregely to the play of a 35 year old QB who no one expected anything from this season, and a defense that has played well but is filled with players on the other side of 30 who were castoffs from other teams around the league. Do you expect people to pick you to go to the SB? It doesn't work that way. There is no anti skins bias. Get around to making the playoffs some time this century and people will start to respect you

Get around to making the playoffs some time this century and people will start to respect you I's AMAZING how you pukes find your way to the REDSKINS messageboard. A 35 yr old QB who everyone thought was washed up (incl myself) is now posting extremely impressive numbers. And then you have Gibbs and his washed up offense and how the "game has past him by". Hmmmm...Gibbs must know something that NO ONE else on the planet knows. And of course, there is the 'defense that has played well but is filled with players on the other side of 30 who were castoffs from other teams around the league'. Well that sure explains how Antonio Pierce found his way to your sucky @ss defense that's rated 31st Pffffft!!!! And of course there's Fred Smoot who went off to the Vikes to go get laid on some party boat while Tice is plotting on how much he'll scalp tix to his daughter's home coming. Hmmm...sounds like damn good coaching by the Skins to sign basically 'nobodies' (as you have put it) and put together a top notched defense. Only to let some of these nobodies go to other teams..where they become just that...nobodies! It just goes to show you how putrid Giants fans recognize talent. (I should know -- I'm married to one). BTW, how many SB rings do the G-men have compared to the Skins SB rings? Uh huh...case CLOSED!!!! :gaintsuck

I dont expect there to be another strike year any time soon, so i dont expect the skins to be hoisting the lombardi for a while Giants 4 NFL championships, 2 SBs, thats 6 rings. Yeah but what I'm saying is you got the ball with great field position a ton of times which has helped to pad your points. Just like our points were padded in the SF game by getting two turnovers in their territory.
Sowers
Its actually a fair article. So far turnovers have cost us two key games on the road. This, being another game on the road, vs a turnover happy defense could be a tough one if we turn the ball over.
Hail_Skinz
Giants 4 NFL championships, 2 SBs, thats 6 rings. Most in the division I said SB rings. According to your interpretation: We all know that Portis has bling on each finger. So that makes:, the 3 SB rings + the 2 NFL championship rings + the 10 Clinton Portis' rings + the 3 ring circus you've got going on at the Meadowlands.... C'mon dude...go back to the Giants messageboard.

I give the Giants credit for getting turnovers and capitalizing this year. But they still get walked all over at will. But it has made it a lot easier for their offense. So championships prior to the SB era don't count? 4 NFL, not NFC championships, and 2 SBs, thats 6 world championships, most in the division, not hard to follow. Maybe if the native americans get their way and you are forced to change your name and logo, you can change it to the Washington Asterisks and put a big *on the helmet. HailYeah
My bad I did think you were talking about NFC champions. But if we're going back that far dont forget to pay respect to the Canton Bulldogs! Those guys can play. Hey, we can compare franchises all day. I'll take the Redskins. :gaintsuck
Loxley
Without being pedantic i love how you hype up this world championship thing, there is no world about it. That said, do not come to this message board to pick a fight, if you look out of your window and there is a school yard there, thats the place to do it. If you look out of your window and there is not a school yard there, it might be because youre an adult. Please do the rest of this board a favour and start to act like one. Other than that, thankyou for your input in todays discussion, it has been entertaining to say the least. This, being another game on the road, vs a turnover happy defense could be a tough one if we turn the ball over. fair? i dont know about that. our QB has 14 TDs and 2 INTs. INTs is a telling stat, fumbles is not. a fumble can happen anytime to anyone. its completely random...and its not fair to say the redskins have been losing most of their fumbles and that it will happen again this sunday. what kind of coach puts "lets recover more fumbles than the other team" into their gameplan? and we havent fumbled anymore than the other teams, i remember reading on article on redskins.com about turnovers this year...and the only reason we are losing the turnover battle is because of lucky bounces to the other team. even being on the bottom of the turnover battle we have a winning record, just goes to show you how good the redskins are on both sides of the ball. last week when we finally had more turnovers = 52-17. the giants will need more turnovers than the redskins just to stay in this game.
