OLD Men Playing QB.

Sure, Brunell is getting up there. We all see the grey hair. I worry about his old knee when he runs around. It won't be long before the rookie is our starter. Hopefully Brunell gets his ring in the next couple years. Right?

Well, the 'skins running game is working and their offensive line is giving Brunell plenty of time. Brunell is using his feet and playing smart. I see no reason to think he can't stay healthy for the forseeable future. He could play effectivly in this system for 3-4 more years.

Let's just let the rookie (and Ramsey) watch a successful quarterback as long as he is successful.

Brunell is 35. Many good QBs play effectivly well past that age. Remember, Rich Gannon was MVP at 40.

Several organizations start QBs around Brunell's age:

Trent Green is 35 and playing great.

In our own NFC East Drew Bledsoe is 33.

Brett Farve is (still going) at 36.

Flutie looked capable this preseason at an astonishing 42 (like Ray Brown).

As long as we're talking about it. . . Weren't Theismann, Williams, and Rypien a bit "past their prime"?
