Looking at the Giants, what do You See?

I'd like to know how the Redskins plan on going about beating the Giants.

If this team knows whats good for them, they'll put the beers down and start to focus on the Giants now and not get carried away by Sunday's blowout, again, that's a mark of both high expectations and professionalism.

A win here sets the stage for a division defining game against the Eagles, a Sunday night home game at that.

That is why this game is huge...

Anybody with some thoughts?, Key Match-ups, injury reports?

I see a team with very good offense, but suspect D. They are beatable and honestly, I expect to win.

The Redskins haven't failed to come out and play hard in any game this season. I expect a hard fought NFC East game on Sunday against the Giants.

This game comes at the right time for the Redskins. We have our top 3 corners healthy again to face the Giants athletic wide receivers and we have developed some consistency and big play ability on offense to keep the Giants off balance.

The key to this game in my mind is preventing Manning from getting set and comfortable. the best way to do that is to score early and make the Giants throw the ball and then bring pressure.

But the Redskins defense has to be judicious in taking its shots on Manning as a blitz that fails leaves the Giants with skill players in the clear to make big plays.

Arrington could be key in this game as a rusher. But I would move him around and let him rush from a stand up position at LB instead of as a DE down in a stance.

This game would be scary without Springs and Harris.

With them I think we have a good chance to win :)

i feel the giants are over rated.they got lucky yesterday.and Gibbs knows what it's like to prepare for new york seriously.the Skins will be ready for em.i feel position by position,we are as good as or better than them in every category.better in most.wait til eli gets a taste of what Levar is capable of and what Williams has planned for him.

The Giants are a very solid team, but I am really optimistic about our chances. Moss and Patten are a HUGE mismatch against the two Wills, who were never that good. They have no one who can cover Cooley, Royal or Sellers. Pierce will be the main force against Portis; I don't expect Portis to have an enormous game, but I do expect him to have quite a few catches.

On defense, we match up very well. One of my friends pointed out to me that Taylor is an excellent antidote to Shockey--he almost seemed drafted with Shockey in mind. We have corners who can shut down the Giants' receivers, and we have a scheme that can exploit Eli's classic drop-back-and-throw offense. Tiki Barber is dangerous in open space; if we don't contain him, we could be in trouble.

I'm not usually a big homer for the Redskins, but I do see this as a very winnable game.

This one should be about both teams trying to maintain time of possession to keep the OTHER offense off the field. As confident as we are in our offense right now (can you believe how quickly we've gotten to the point we can say THAT without missing a beat?), so are they.

Seems to me this one will be about which defense makes the most stops on 3rd downs (we've been great on O, a bit shaky on D of late, but the return of Springs/Harris should help), who doesn't help other team out with bail-out penalties, and of course, who takes the ball away from the other.

I'm pretty sure we'll move the ball fairly consistently again, so the key will be continuing the red zone success we found yesterday. I'm thinking it takes 24 to win.

On defense, G. Williams is going to have his work cut out---he's going to want to press Eli hard, but will be leary of the kid's quick release and screens to Tiki to offset our blitzes.

Three point or less game all the way.

Chess match. Going to be fun.

Agreed, but Tiki is the only weapon on the Giants' offense that we don't have an obvious answer for. (No, LaVar doesn't count.) Keeping him in check will be the key to winning.

I think that the Giants are a little over rated. I am so glad that we have our starting Cornerbacks healthy and ready to play though. For the most part, I think that our D will be able to hold them in check. Their defense is ranked towards the bottom of the league, the Skins' won't take them lightly. I believe that we have a very good chance at beating them in New York. Playing in Giants stadium is nothing compared to Mile High and Arrowhead.

WOW! you guys win a game against a high school team and think you are the king of the hill. and untill yesterday you guys forgot Levaar was on your team now he gets nine tackles and you think he is god.(Pierce got 13 vs Broncos). no doubt your D is better then ours, but our O is no doubt better then yours. So if you get behind early, fogedaboudit.

as for being over rated, how? we only lost one game where we looked lost, vs SD. we shoulda coulda woulda beat the cowgirls if we got the OT flip of the coin. I seriously think all 4 teams will be neck and neck down the stretch.

by the way, thats one gay "fighting song" ya got there.

Turnovers. If the turnover margin is even or in our favor I think we win. The only game in which this has happened so far has resulted in a 35 point blowout.

I honestly think this will be the factor for the rest of our games, period. Mark my words; any game this year we are positive in turnover differential we will win. We'll still win games with a negative differential, but they will be close, down to the wire games. Our defense and offense match up well with any team in the league right now, including Indy. I'm not saying we'd blow anyone out, but we can keep up with any team in the league right now, as long as we don't give them the ball.

Redskins: NFC East Champs.

No doubt?

Brunell vs. Eli: I'd say Brunell, you'd say Eli; call it a draw

Santana vs. Plaxico: Santana

Patten vs. Toomer: Toomer

Cooley vs. Shockey: I'd say Cooley, you'd say Shockey; call it a draw

Portis vs. Tiki: Portis

Not to mention that we have the #2 offense in the league.

I would have serious doubts if I were you.

by the way, thats one gay "fighting song" ya got there.

I seem to remember some not incredibly heterosexual songs being played at Giants Stadium last time I was there.

im pretty sure giantsworld is about to get banned....i think this game will be hard fought. if we can get an early lead we'll win....if we dont an we can just convert our redzone opportunities and not turn the ball over or give up the big play defensively..we win also.

I'm with him, pretty much accross the board.

Our best weapon against Eli & Co will be ball controll. If our D is on the field for 30 minutes, we're going to be in trouble. It's nice to smack talk about how much better our D is ranked than your O, but I've seen the Gs play a little bit, and that offense is well run, and has lots of weapons. They're going to get at least 20 against us.

Yes, rankings aside, I'd say the Gs O is better than ours.

OTOH, I'd say our D is a lot better than theirs.

We'd really like to have a good day for Portis, but the G's run D is better than their pass D.

I think "How We Win or Lose" will depend on our red zone percentage. (I think we'll get more yards, but will we get more points?)

Needless to say, either team can lose if they turn it over.

I expect a lot of highlights.

(Anybody know what the weather's going to be? I really wouldn't mind a yucky field.)

Yeah All 4 teams will be close. But we will win the division. We are better than the giants all around.....we dont even need to talk about the pukes and the iggles do we.. Your offense better than ours..fogedaboudit. Turn off ESPN. The gay love you recieve will not be with your giants come sunday. What will be with the giants Is a redskins defense that looks better than the high school or"giants defense" . Really I shouldnt say that. Its a contradiction. Giants Defense  oooooohhhh scary  we are going to embarass and expose your sorry ass team for what they are worth...a big pile of horse**** the question for eli is, Can he take a hit? Better hope so. have a ****ty day :D

Get used to the fighting song...youll be hearing it alot

Joke of the day......Giants defense :D

I see an offense that gets more credit than it should, I see a 2nd year QB who is over hyped and merely a solid player vs. a real defense, I see a Giants defense that is erratic and can be beat in the run and the pass, I see the weapons of the Redskins offense spreading the field well, Santana will go over 100 again, Portis will go over 100 with a TD or 2, Cooley will come up big, patton will be as solid as ever. Our defense will stop their pass early, they may get some in the running game but we will pressure Manning well and play the screen well (they like to run screens to shockey and barber when eli is under more pressure than he can handle.)
