MRMADD
Just a quick question: those of you who felt (feel?) that Lavar Arrington wouldn't generate much interest on the free agent market and would only yield a 3rd round pick or so in a trade, do you still feel so today? Vegas-Born
Who cares--Don't trade Lavar, and stop talking about it.
Rocky21
Trade deadline has passed. No trades 'til the off-season. What's the point?
Mooka
His play was never the issue of his trade value. His knee injury and monster contract is what limits his trade value. anyway doesn't matter, no way we trade him

dfbovey
His play was never the issue of his trade value. His knee injury and monster contract is what limits his trade value.anyway doesn't matter, no way we trade him His contract wouldn't be a limitation considering that the Redskins would be swallowing most of it. The team that trades for him wouldn't be responsible for any of the bonus money. But the Redskins would need to figure out how to take that large of a hit and I don't think it would be possible. Our cap is already extremely tight heading into next season. If we do trade him, I think the Skins would definately get 1st round value in return. I don't think it will happen though. At least I hope he stays.

He's gone at the end of the season and someone is going to want him." HOF44
Why will Lavar be gone after this season? I agree that its not a foregone conlcusion he will be gone. It will depend on how the rest of the year plays out, but yesterday was a very positive step. Best case Lavar and GW mend fences and he plays great, worst case he is proven healthy and a high draft pic or impact player trade is the possible. RedskinzOwnU
If we get a 1st round pick for him, I'm pretty sure we'll deal him. Anything less and we might consider keeping him
EvoSkins
Isn't the 12 million cap hit include the accelerated bonus hit. The accelerated bonus should not hit if the Skins don't trade him. Right?
MRMADD
Repeat after me: If Lavar stays, it's a $7m cap hit. If he's released, it's a $5m cap hit. If he's traded, it's a $12m cap hit.
Samuels
If he is healthy and continues to play like yesterday we'd be stupid to trade him for even a 1st round pick. How many 1st rounders especially late 1st rounders truly make a impact like LA. You find gamechangers in the top 10 picks and then its a crapshoot. LA is a gamechanger and is only 27 you keep him, period. Lavar,ST and M.Washington can be a damaging trio for the immediate future.

My bad. If he's 7 million against the cap next year if he stays, I vote to keep him. If we can afford to pay 9 million dollars to COLES who does not even play for us, we can afford to keep LA at 7 million since he is back to bustin' heads. Samuels
And if we keep him can't we turn his huge roster bonus into a signing bonus and lower his cap hit dramatically by spreading it over the lenght of his contract??

bcl05
Its very simple. If he plays and plays well, his value goes up. If he sits on the bench, it goes down. Yesterday was a good day.

No doubt... It makes me laugh seeing commentators trying to predict what our off season is going to look like before we even hit the half-way mark of this season. Not being ready to go in the preseason was what has caused this whole controversy that the media has cooked up. Arrington practiced well last week, played well yesterday... you better believe he'll be added to another package. He keeps performing, you'll see him more and more... but I doubt he'll take on a dominate role like Washington until next year. But if he's smart, he'll want to stick around, let the knee get fully healed and reconditioned slowly and let Williams find the best way to use him and we'll be winning a superbowl next year.
