tokyoskins
pls assume the following 2 things: 1) skins get in as wild card with 9-7 record 2) chicago and seattle take their divisions with 8-8 records would we have to play AT either chicago or seattle despite having a better overall record AND beating them head to head?! has this ever happened in the NFL?!:eaglesuck thanks
sumodat
Ummmm... We COULD win our division! It is wide open right now. We have proven we can play with good teams. Don't sell out yet.
hail2skins
Yes, we would have to play Da Bears or Da Hawks at their place. I'm sure its happened before. One year (1979) the Skins had a better record (10-6) than one of the division winners the Rams (9-7) but failed to make the playoffs due to a 35-34 heartbreaking loss to the Cowboys in the season's final game. The Rams, however, did win two road playoff games that year to advance to the Super Bowl.

jwebst1
4 division winners always are seeded 1-4, no matter what their record is..... top 2 get bye's, the other 2 host the wild card teams.... that's why I hate playing in the same division as Philly. FunBunch7
It happened most recently in 2002 when the 10-6 Colts travled to the 9-7 Jets as a wild card. They lost 41-
