Tired of Posters throwing the " Ban Him " around

I have to speak up on this ever so popular phrase as of late , the infamous Ban.I firmly believe that this board is moderated very well and that is solely their responsibility to decide to Ban a fellow poster for a reason they see is neccassary and i support them 100%. With that being said as Extremeskins has merged we have seen a influx of new posters and it seems when a post hits the board that may not be popular opinion or a accidental double post the Rookie posters throw around the " Somebody ban him " phrase.

I have been a member of this board for awhile now and i may not post as frequently as others but i came to love Extremeskins due to the conversasion and how it was moniterd exceptionally well compared to other boards. Every poster has a right to there opinion and should not be subject to a trend that is starting to pick up steam.

At the end of the day we are all Redskins fans at heart ( even the opposing teams fans who frequently visit ) and have a great place to talk about different views and outlooks, so lets remember why we are here and enjoy the convo.

P.S. If you dont like the topic dont read the thread. I dont mean to offend anyone in any way with this post. :2cents:

Amen, rubber-neckers need to keep moving, make a positive comment, or leave us in peace. In other words, if you don't like a thread, or find it repeatative, save your valuable time and move on :movefast:

Couple things.

I tend to agree with Lavarleap in that we could all use a heaping teaspoon of humor and goodwill towards our fellow fans and members here. Since the ONLY folks doing any banning (and believe me its done reluctantly and sparingly) are staff, the comments are silly anyway. If you feel the need to knock around a newer member, better to take that individual under your wing, share some pms, and see if you can't help them fit in and understand the culture here a little better. Thats a heckuva lot more productive than mocking or blasting someone.

On the other hand, if anyone thinks they''re free to post repetitive, redundant, spam-like threads on a whim, over and over - think again. Its a privilege to post here, not a right - thats always been our belief and it will continue to be so. Extremeskins will not suffer the fate many large boards do, where the inmates ultimately overrun the security.

Its not going to happen.

Rule #1, be nice and try your best to treat others as civilly as possible, think before you post, and everyone here will continue to enjoy an incredible community

Actually, in the spirit of the message board and the community that has developed from it, if someone doesn't like the thread or things in it, then they are going to say so. Like it or not. Get used to it. That's the spirit of things around here. If it's repetitive, same thing. And if for no other reason it's in the rules. Same thing. Might as well get used to it. I'm not advocating just chiming in and being negative just to do it, nor sacrificing some common sense about what a thread is trying to do, but keep in mind folks are encouraged to give their opinions,( civilly), and this of course leads to further discourse on things. Gotta have thick skin around here.

Edit: Tarhog beat me to it.
