JP on Junkies says Lavar's knee "bone on bone"

Just listening to the Junkies....and JP reported that he read a story that said that Lavar's knee is "bone on bone" .... He didn't indentify the source. Has anyone else heard this? They speculated that because of this that he is not playing because it would diminish his trade value. I find that ridiculous. Has anyone else heard anything about this report. The Skins and Lavar both say that he is healthy. If anyone has seen this please post a link. I also thought that it was great of Czaban to hint on postgame that every broadcaster is trying to unravel the Lavar mystery..and that George Michael probably knows but won't spill it because he is a company man...

True on both points...and they also did state the the team would have an obligation under league rules to report him on the injury report. That being said if he is not the same player because of the knee surgeries...maybe that is what they are trying to hide. He may only be 75% and not able to do what he once could. Another guy called in shortly afterwards and said that he attended a function with ex players who told him that Lavar had pissed off coaches Williams and Lindsey all the way up to the owner and that in 2 to 3 weeks he wouldn't even be dressing for games.

I wonder what function that was and I wonder if our boy Doc Walker might have been there?

Didn't the league pass new rules a year or two ago to overcome New Englands penchant for fibbing about injuries? I think this is something the Skins would have to disclose.

If they did, it'd be impossible to enforce. There's too many ways around it. Look at the Vick situation last week. All week Atlanta listed him as probable, then downgraded him to doubtful on Friday. All you have to do it sounds like is list someone as probable, then at the last minute, downgrade them, and say we didn't know how bad it was until he practiced on Friday. But I think the fact that Lavar is not even listed as probable though says that he is either 100%, or close to it. If he isn't playing because he is still hurt, I think you're right that they would have to list him on the injury report.
