Diablo23
I don't know if this deserves it's own thread, but that block Portis had on Al Wilson leveling him to the floor was just awesome. I'm usually really pissed after losses, but watching the tape again I just came up across that hit.. DAMN Heres to being 4-1 after next weekend
KirkNC
Picking up the blitz is a part part of Portis' game that just shines. Its not going to be in the stats but it will be one of the reasons the redskins are winning. Portis is a stud not only for his running abilities but for his grunt work and the fantastic team attitude he brings.
themurf
Yeah, and he hurt himself on the play too. Fantastic block though.
SkinsXL2006
It was silly. He just leveled him. Not as great as the hit Ade Jimoh put on the Denver fullback. He's feeling that today........
ouvan59
Portis had about 3 really good pickups yesterday although the others weren't nearly as impressive as his crush of Wilson. Not only was that a big hit but he did a great job of seeing it coming.
Bat~man
yea was a great hit , last year he was laying out blocks like that as well , i hate losing but we played a good game against a good team , our O needs to just PUNCH it in and as funny as it sounds but our D needs to step up and play more consistently and maybe just get healthy ..... we should be fine im hoping for a 10-6 here this year~

DjKam1
Portis was doing the same thing last year. He throws his entire body at people in order to protect the QB or the person running with the ball. Portis has his heart and his head in the right place with this franchise, and if he continues with his success, his career will live forever in our hearts. He is somebody special, his look on his face after the loss yesterday explained it all, he is a true competitor. I love his passion for the game and his desire to win, and best of all he's the coolest dude, so nice with the fans, I met him last year and he was absolutely a class act. InGibbsITrust
I think this has been one of the most overlooked stories of the year in terms of why the offense is playing so much better. Portis has really been on in terms of picking up the blitz. No sacks yesterday and yes, that block against wilson was about as nice a play on offense as you can get without you know, running/throwing/catching a touchdown. jnhay
I think Portis probably saw him before the snap, but the play led him to the left side.
