TODD
I thought I was privileged to have Deuce McAllister fall to me in the second round of my fantasy draft this year. Well, one ACL later, McAllister is done for the year. I want to get rid of him, but I can't... he's undroppable. When a player is injured (for the year, mind you) AND on the undroppables list, will Yahoo let me drop him? If not, this is ridiculous... Thanks in advance
The X-Factor
I think they'll probably remove him from the can't cut list very soon. I have Deuce in one of my other leagues as well. It sucks losing a RB that was picked that high. There aren't any good RBs left in the free agent pool, so my team is pretty much screwed.
dreamingwolf
How does the Can't Cut list work? Many of the best players in the game will be on this list throughout the season. When a player is on the list, he cannot be waived from a team under any circumstances ... even if he is injured. The Can't Cut list, which will be updated when necessary to account for injury or performance issues, will prevent managers at the bottom of the standings from changing the league dynamics by waiving all of their outstanding players. Players will be added and removed from the list as appropriate during the season. This list does not effect your ability to swap a player between active and bench, or make a trade involving him. The Can't Cut list applies to all leagues, Public and Custom, in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football and cannot be modified or eliminated from individual Custom Leagues ... thats how yahoo treats it

Yeah, luckily I picked up Chris Brown last week so I have someone who is at least serviceable. If you are really strapped you could pick up Antwoine Smith... he'll be starting at the least. When the league is set up the default is that the can't cut list is activated, but the league commissioner can deactivate it during set up. I had to carry an injured Michael Vick all season once because of the can't cut list. The following year we deactivated the feature and we don't use it anymore. The commissioner reviews all transactions to ensure fairness.

Had a manager ask me the same question in my league, and went and looked it up. I think I see what you mean, but I think "not true" is wrong. I think what yahoo is saying, is that the list works the same for all types of yahoo leagues if its activated. so what I cut and pasted was just how the cant cut list works which was what the question was, not whether or not you can turn it off. I dont remember the cant cut list being an option durring set up, next year I will have to make a note of it. So far Ive never seen it cause a major problem, thats probably why I never bothered to change that default. Next time I will probably deactivate it. NYSkins1
My team's really weird this year...I'm stacked with talent, but I have a losing record. I'd say that that means I'm I a lousy coach, but I've consistenly finished at the top of the regular season and playoffs and won the league last year. I guess I'm just picking really poorly this year. My team: QBs: Delhomme Favre Dilfer RBs: Priest Dillon LaMont Jordan Cadillac Williams Ricky Williams GB's #3 RB (picked up this week) Pittman (picked up for Cadillac Williams' injury) WRs: TO McCardell Andre Johnson Givens Stallworth TEs LJ Smith Ks Rackers DEFs Chicago Cincinatti Indianapolis
wskin44
Below are our league rules copied out of Yahoo. Note it says "Can't Cut List Provider" NONE. Maybe it can be set so that the Commissioner can establish a can't cut list. At any rate it was good news that Duece was removed from the Can't cut list by Yahoo. The year I had Vick there was a chance that he would come back at the end of the season, which he did for the last two weeks. 13 weeks unable to play should have knocked him off the list though. Alexander, F. Taylor, M. Anderson, R. Brown, and T. Bell as well. Got Tatum after I cut Duece. He isn't my "Can't cut" person. Alexander is. He should be able to be cut on Wednesday. Needless to say, I am the lone undefaeted (So far) in my trophy league on Yahoo.
