jivelikenice
Sorry for starting a new thread but I didn't see one addressing he offensive line. What a performance yesterday by the dirtbags. They had a few false starts and a hold or two but to go into Denver with their linebackers corp and to be able to shut down the pass rush and manage to get Portis over 100 yarsd was huge. Lets just hope they build off of this game and go after KC next week...
TD_washingtonredskins
I agree. They did a good job opening holes for Portis AND protecting Brunell in some very obvious passing situations!
tr1
Congratulations to our offensive line. Fifty-three passes and NO sacks! Another 100 yard rushing day. Thanks coach Bugel.
Stew
we need to run more sweep plays and push portis off tackle more then just up the gut. I would love to see more of the option or strong toss to the weak side. Our line is a big bruising line, we just havent taken advantage of it yet. Can anyone tell me what the deficiency is with running in the red zone? Rushing TD's in the redzone for the Redskins is like NFL Urine tests for Ozzy Newsome, we just cant pass. Is it a Portis thing? Stew
Other then that, our O line is a bunch of monsters under NFL defenses beds!
Skinsfan1311
....it's a superior Defensive line thing....the Broncos D-line is tough....
Walking Deadman
I'm with the spread packages.....it seems to keep the 8 men in the box from being able to close all the holes. O-line run blocking was great......no sacks on Brunell. Great job O-line.
Warhead36
Is there a LT better than Chris Samuels right now? Honestly, not being a homer, I've watched him in every game, he has been dominant. Nobody gets close to Brunell with him back there. 53 pass attempts, NO sacks. Thats pretty damn good.
Dead Money
They were playing agains the 2004 Cleveland Browns defensive line? To really WOW me, this offensive line has to be responsible for some rushing yards and TDs inside the 25 yard line.
Art
Samuels has always started slowly then picked it up as the year goes on. This year, he's great out of the box. Only once has he even been threatened on a rush. Right now there's not a better left tackle in football. With hope he can maintain this.
Leonard Washington
i wouldn't go crazy over them yet. denver's line isn't all that. i would say chicago's was better, but the bags did play well yesterday and there's no discounting that. i like to see multigame consistancy in the running game..especially on the goaline. Mr. S
we seriously need to work on our goal line blocking, youd think we could just punch it in from the 2 yard line the wya most teams can. Also, Dockery was hit or miss again I feel, though very hit this game, I saw him start off slow, but then he was dominating after that. Overall a great performance, Brunell had soo much time, just recevers could not get open.
Mooka
As a unit they've improved every week facing 3 of the better D-Lines in football. Were going to have to sustain some drives to beat KC, just like we did against Seattle. The more our offense keeps the KC offense off the field the better chance we have of winning the game. Our O-Line needs to control he LOS if were gonna sustain drives and pick up 3rd downs.

Also, Denver hadn't allowed a 100 yard rusher in years, until yesterday.
jivelikenice
I think we need to spread it out more near the goal line instead or running up the gut. Throughout the league it seems like bask are having a much more difficult time taking it in up the middle in goal-line and short yardage situation. There just isn't any room to move.
