FootballGuy2677
Hey, sorry if this was posted already but... I was watching the joe gibbs show and they were talking about novaks kickoffs and gibbs said that hes been kicking off great at practice and great at field goals. The reason nick novak was kicking the kickoffs so bad was becuase they used a special teams play called a loop kickoff thats suppose to have alot of hangtime of it. They decided to use it becuase they were having trouble guarding reguler kick-offs and their real fast so they thought doing the loop kickoffs would be better...(more hangtime). Just a explanation to all you people who were saying "what was that?" when watching his kickoffs.
Walking Deadman
Wonder what they'll be doing this week. With the altitude, I would think the kicks should be deeper.
RabidFan
If they aren't deeper this weekend i'm sure we'll get the "too high" excuse used by the fan in the movie Major League on why a hit ball wouldn't be a home run against them.
Sebowski
Those are the kickoffs I use in video games. Higher you get it the sooner your guys hit the returner.
InGibbsITrust
I saw that. I guess it makes sense. Here's the real question: Does anyone know of any other team in the NFL that does this "looping" technique? Seems like most teams just kick it normally except for the Arizona kicker who kicks it out of the freakin' stadium.
FootballGuy2677
I dont really know of any other teams that use it becuase the media does not show or comment on them(thank god hehe) becuase its not really somthing a fan would say. "WOW...look at the loop kick"
terpfan
Yeah OK that makes some sense. I mean, we were stopping them at around the 30...

TNSkinsFan
I don't care for them either. Too much chance of one going out of bounds or a big runback.
