truskinsfan18
For a pro bowl year. We have played 3 games so far, and he has 19 tackles, a sack and a pick. If he stays at this pace, he wil break 100 tackles. He might get league wide respect I think, and I am glad we let go of pierce because people said our run D would suffer because of his size, well I see our run D as dominating because we have already faced 2 all pro rb's and have held them under 100 yards. What you guys think would be the medias reaction if Lemar makes the pro bowl?
Lil Kenzo
The media would not allow Lemar to make a pro bowl.
Riggo-toni
No matter how well he plays, he won't make it. Trotskyer has a free pass. People will dismiss him as a product of the system, much as they did with Pierce...until he left, at which point he became a tremendous loss and a brilliant player.... jrfriedm
I really don't think that Lemar will start the whole season. I think Holdman will take over in the middle when Lavar returns to the starting lineup.
Neophyte
Before we start talking Pro Bowl for Lemar he has to start making the play like the one he missed this last week when Alexander got free for 30+ yards on us. If Lemar makes that play it goes for a couple of yards at the most and the game never sees overtime.
Capt'n Obvious
The media would not allow Lemar to make a pro bowl. That sounds about right. :helmet:
SamSneed36
I think we will have a few pro-bowlers on the defense this year. Everyone knows how good they are now, Washington will go back and a few others will too. Wouldnt it be funny if Brunell kept it goin and got a pro bowl? I know, doubtful, but not impossible
Loyal2Washington
The amount of a teams pro-bowlers depends strictly on wins and losses. If we can get to 10-11+ wins then we're going to get 4,5,6 or more pro-bowlers. :eaglesuck :gaintsuck :dallasuck
Kevin101
As of now, there is only 1 lock for the Pro Bowl-Marcus W.
TheDiplomat
What to all pro RB's have we played against? I only count Alexander. Both Jones' are nice, but they aren't all pro yet.
Mark The Homer
I really don't think that Lemar will start the whole season. I think Holdman will take over in the middle when Lavar returns to the starting lineup. Some of you are forgetting that it's not all about the number of tackles. Lemar's most important contribution, I think, is in his head. He's smart enough and hard working enough to know not just what he's supposed to do and how he's supposed to play MLB, but he knows what everybody else is supposed to do too. That's why he's defensive QB. Is Holdman going come in and fill Lemar's shoes? I don't think so. This is from today's, Friday's post regarding a quote from Howie Long regarding the Redskins: "...they play a very, very, very disciplined multi-blitz package on defense that relies on everybody being in exactly in the right place on every single play, because if one guy is not in a particular gap they need to be in, it has a domino effect on the defense in an adverse way." And who makes sure every guy is in exactly the right gap on every single play? Lemar Marshall. He is not easy to replace. And by the way, I suggest Marshall may have had more tackles vs Seattle if he hadn't hurt his groin early in the game. I believe Marshall is #2 in tackles at the moment. SkinsTillIDie
The media has almost NOTHING to do with probowl selections. 2/3 of the voting is done by players and coaching staffs, by far the best evaluators of talent and good play. Needless to say, Lemar will not make the probowl. Firstly, 100 tackles isn't that much anymore, especially for a middle linebacker, and especially especially for a pro bowl middle linebacker. Two, he's missed too many plays already and has yet to have any sort of dominating or imposing play in any game to date. He has done what he has to do and what he has been asked to do, but he has not really had any big impact on any game yet. We have at least four players on that side of the ball much more deserving of selection.
