Leonard Washington
I know he's coming off an injury but what is the deal with his playing time? He seemed to be a blitz master early last year before we ruined him on special teams. Pearson seems to have come in and taken his spot but now that he's hurt bowen is still getting sloppy seconds of playing time from ryan clark. Is he still hurt or what? CrazyZeb
Williams decided he doesn't like his bald head, so he's out.
More Complete
My guess is that it's similar to the Arrington situation. Can't be sure though Pearson did look great in preseason.
whitejimmy
Same thing as LaVar. He got hurt and lost his job. Only he doesn't have Superstar status, so no one is clamoring for him to start. I like what the coaches are doing. Play the person that gives us that best chance to win on Sunday. Don't play a guy because he's popular, or well paid, or because a "starter shouldn't lose his job to injury." EDIT: I just noticed the sarcasm tag. QBkilla56
The last thing you want to do is get injured on Greg Williams Defense. If you want to keep that starting job, do not get injured. Thats the way i see it.

Either that, or, when you do come back, show in practice and when you DO get into games that you're both working well within the scheme and better than the guy who replaced you. TheMalcolmConnection
He actually had some good pass coverage against the Seahawks.
TimFolk
I just think Pierson is just better overall player. I guess Greg agrees with me on this also.
Hawk_DC
GW does a helluva job, but I don't think he always puts the best players in the best packages. Pierson might be better in pass coverage but I think on 1st and 2nd downs when we put 8 men inthe box, Matt needs to be there. I also think Matt is a much better blitzer than any of the safeties we have out there!
coolskin
I wouldn't be surprised if they rotate those three guys all season. Also, they still might not have full confidence in Bowen yet, though he looked the best of the bunch last week. I still want to know what that defense was where they had Taylor, Bowen and Clark all at the same time on all three downs. Anyone know what that was? Big difference I think that was wat he was trying to say when he said "superstar status" It kinda goes hand in hand with being a big time player
carlsbadd
Bowen is still finding his way back. If you watch the Cowboy game (and who hasn't about 20 times) He looks a little slow on his reactions and he gives up a play to Keyshawn, when they go back to the same play later he is there and breaks up the play. Most of us have commented before about him sometimes taking bad angles but he has improved in that dept. I think that he is about where he should be depth chart wise. I could see using him on more blitz packages
