JKS1414
I was wondering if anyone else heard the Brandon Noble interview on DC 101 this morning with Elliot in the Morning? All I have to say is what a class guy and an ultimate team player. :applause: They talked alot about his recent trip back to IR and to hear Brandon say that it was the right thing to do for the team in order not to hold up a roster spot was really refreshing in this all about me time of the NFL. This is a man who understands what it means to be a part of a team and others should really follow his example. Instead of going off and getting upset about another lost year on IR Noble talked about putting the teams needs ahead of his own and helping out the coaching staff this year with the younger players. Noble talked alot about retirement and that this could be his last year. I, for one, hope we see him back next year, but if its not to be then I wish him well. Noble has really shown himself to be a class guy and a true Redskin by putting his team and teamates first. Thanks Brandon for showing others how a true Redskin acts even in the worst times!!! :applause: :dallasuck

Here's to you Brandon and hopefully, you can make it back next season.
Beaudry
True Redskin? WTF are you guys talking about? He is a frickin' DALLAS COWBOY and I'm sure when he retires he will retire as a Cowboy. He was nothing more than a stopgap for us who was hurt more than he played. I think some people in this thread need some help in determining a "True Redskin". Guide to Becoming a True Redskin: 1. Don't play the majority of your career with the DALLAS COWBOYS 2. Player well when you play for the Redskins
Dead Money
Sometimes its hard to image that he used to be a cowboy

JKS1414
I think you missed the real point of the post......it had more to do with him being a team player & putting the needs of the team first.....which, I think, even you would have to admit is very, very rare these days. Not to mention, as others have said he grew up a life long Redskin fan from Va. who, yes, was drafted and played for the Cowboys but signed with the Redskins as a free agent because they were always his team.......for, if I remember correctly, less money than what the Cowboys offered him to stay. But as the saying goes you see things your way, I'll see them my way. He has been nothing but a class player since the day he was signed by the Skins. True Redskin? WTF are you guys talking about? riggins44
I wouldn't be surprised to see him on coaching staff if the does retire.
Lavar5150
This is what you get out of Penn State players period. You can say alot about Paterno and the last few years but he devolops character guys.
Beaudry
I totally agree that Noble is a great guy and everything. He just isn't a "True Redskin". He is a former Cowboy that has done nothing for the team on the field. I think in my mind I am merging him with another former Cowboy. Who was the DT that went to Air Force? pennyizer
i think he's from va and said he was a redskins fan growing up. When he first came here, he said his family was Skins fans and that he did not like the skins growing up. I think the dude has been a huge let down. I have heard him interviewed on several shows and he's a very likeable guy. He had alot of promise coming here and it never materialized. It's a shame because he seems to be a great guy. I wouldn't think he would go into coaching over going into radio or T.V. He is a well spoken brite guy and I think would be a great analyist somewhere. :2cents:

HailYeah
Whether or not he was Redskins fan growing up is irrelevant. He certainly cares about this team now and has proven through his actions that he is unselfish and humble...good enough for me to consider him a true Redskin..its a measure of character

I'll start off saying that Brandon Noble is the poster child for hard work and dedication. Blessed with limited ability he has fashioned a 7 year NFL career to date. He was solid last year and if you were disappointed in his performance you were clearly expecting something he is not. He worked his ass off to come back from a devastating knee injury. That being said, players like Noble don't retire as anything, Cowboy or otherwise. They just retire. Personally, I applaud Noble's efforts as a Skin and the fact that he has stuck around to help the coaching staff makes me like him all the more........or do some of you think he is only doing it so he can spy for the Cowboys. zoony
the guy grew up in Va Beach area and grew up a Redskins fan. - He graduated from First Colonial HS in 1992. He was recruited by Penn State because of his combination of size and speed... iirc he ran a 4.6 40 his senior year.
