Go to bed at 7:00. Get up and leave Charlotte at midnight. That should put you there by about 6:30. Go straight to the stadium. Sleep in car. Wake up at 9:00. Commence to party!

This gentleman knows of what he speaks.

Takes me 3 hours to get to Richmond and and about 2.5 to get to FedEx from there.

But you indeed want to experience the Extremeskins TG with Huly and Pez. I hear he has the best wings at the stadium.

If the in-laws hadnt planned a visit this week. I would be right there with you guys. Grrr. We could have even car pooled.

Were are you coming from in Charlotte ?

UNC Charlotte.

Take 85 to 95 and it is basically a straight shot. When I lived in DC I would take 295 and be there in minutes.

The time table is based on going 55-60 MPH. You should make good time.

Do you have a Radar detector ? Not that I encourage speeding. But in VA they are illegal. So you gotta be careful. The thing is that unlike most states there is that sign on the side of the road in VA that says no access or something like that, and as long as you are aware of your surroundings and pay attention to those signs you should have no problems just cruising a good 70-75 all the way there.

BTW - Radar Detectors are legal in NC. Not sure about MD though I dont remember.

I agree with this post.

In all seriousness, this guy is obviously not a tailgater if he plans to arrive at 12. So he should probably change his plan to arrive at 10, that way he'll actually arrive at 11, with a 1 hour delay in traffic. Then he'll have another hour to actually park and walk to the stadium. It's a good idea to try to get inside by 12 or 12:15 because it takes so long to get through security.

Radar detectors are legal in Maryland. So are CB radios.

Be careful between the NC line and the 20 mile marker. I got nailed there once. My detector didn't help me. In fact, he got three of us at the same time. It ain't cheap. Those small towns around there will use you for a revenue boost.

me and my buddy walked up to the stadium at 12:40 during the bears game. WE got in JUST in time for kickoff. you have to treat the Redskins games liek a traffic jam...They jam all those people through 5 walkways in each entrance and expect everyone to be happy. DEFINATELY give yourself a lot of time, i'd say give yourself about an hour for traffic and another 30 min to get into the stadium if you plan on tailgating.

I stayed in that motel 6 the night before the bears game, and they lock that place down. Mad security guards there, and when I ordered a pizza I had to walk to the office because deliverie people aren't even allowed in there. Talk about a run on sentence, but yeah it's right there.
