Drex
Tampa's the biggest surprise IMO. Cadillac is a special back and their defense is playing at a reasonably high level.
Neophyte
I voted for "Other" and I think it is a toss up between how good the Colts D has been and how bad the Ravens D has been. The Colts really sort of came out of no where so that was a real shocker. The Ravens, on the other hand, where the darlings of the off season with all the talk of how great Lewis was going to be again with the switch back to the 4-3 and us of the 46. So far they have not shown squat.
Califan007 The Constipated
~ The Colts offense looking so lethargic...they've scored 23 points in their last two games...same amount the Skins have scored in their two games. ~ Cincinnati looking so dominant.. ~ Skins being alone at the top of the NFC East standings... ~ Minnesota and Culpepper looking atrocious in their first two games...(EIGHT interceptions? wtf??) The Gibber
I would say that QB play in particular has been surprising. You have guys like Ferrotte, Dilfer, and Rattay doing very well and guys like Manning and Culpepper underperforming. Also, I would say that Steven Davis having 4 tds and being the main ball carrier for the Panthers, after having a potentially career ending surgery. On the Skins front, I would definitely say how well Walt Harris has been playing.
Califan007 The Constipated
Bledsoe usually collapses later. Give him at least 6 or 7 games..... Amen...by week 8 Bledsoe will be looking like the QB that both New England and Buffalo felt they could easily do without.
Kosher Ham
Only team that has surprised me is the Raiders being so downright pathetic defensively. I love the fact that the Panthers are 1-2 and not living up to expectations. But I saw it coming. I have seen every one of their games for years. carlsbadd
I have to go with Tampa Bay. Rookie RB and the defense that's smacking people around again.
Art
I knew Bledsoe would play very well early. I called that months ago. I doubt he'll play as well as the year wears on, but, we'll see . The Dolphins would be my surprise team with two good wins.

denverdan
49ers winning a game and actually giving other teams trouble. J. E. T. S. JETS JETS JETS looking like the 49ers GreenBay looking worst than the 49ers
Drex
How bad the NFC central is. It's laughable that Detroit is actually in first place with a 1-1 record. The Packers appear as though a fork has been stuck through them, the Bears have a rookie qb and the aforementioned Lions team is lacking defensively and at the qb position. Despite their horrible start, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Vikes end up winning the division, with a 9-7 or possibly 8-8 record.
AJWatson3
Tampa Bay is the most surprising in my book, followed closely by Miami's 2-1 start. Congrats to both teams. Imagine if TB had a good O-Line... sick! Same goes for Miami...
KevinthePRF
Tampa Bay got my vote, but what really surprises me is the Colts playing and winning like the Ravens. Dungy finally has rubbed off on the team.
Chachie
Other- 1. Jamal Lewis and Curtis Martin doing so poorly. 2. Peyton Manning has a lower QB rating than Eli Manning.
Jody
Miami playing well. They'll be even better when Ricky returns.

You're a little behind on the times, man. The NFL restructured the divisions like 5 years ago; Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota and Chicago are the NFC North now! ZoEd
(1)The colts defense has won 3 games in a row... they have allowed 5.something points per game.(2)their offense had not shown its dominance... (3) P. Manning has not being a good fantasy pickup... manning has thrwon an INT every game, i think (4) cadillac wiliams is breaking records... can u say? rookie rushing record, maybe I must agree. I figured Peyton would pick up where he left off last season but seeing their defense play so well almost guarantee's them a place in the playoffs and I'll be suprised if they don't go to the Superbowl. You know their offense is going to light it up sooner than later and when they both come together they should be damn near unbeatable. Then again this is the NFL and you never know what will happen from week to week. Other than that I think Cinci is a big suprise as well.

chef8181
Nobody expected the Dolphins to do anything this year never mind having a first year coach who has never coached in the NFL before.

Mr. Grundle
Come on, now. Who actually thought that in their lifetime they would be able to say that the Cincinnatti Bengals look like the best team in the NFL?

Who actually thought that in their lifetime they would be able to say that the Cincinnatti Bengals look like the best team in the NFL? Yeah, but the Bengals have been competitive the past few years, and you could tell it was only a matter of time before they took the next step. To me, that doesn't count as a surprise...
