SouthernSkinsFan
...but the Washington Redskins are alone in 1st place in the NFC East, Mark Brunell has an arm, and Santana Moss has speed and hands. Meanwhile, L Coles had 4 catches for 16 yards, A Pierce had 3 tackles, F Smoot had one, and R Gardner hasn't even had a 50/50 chance to catch a pass this season. (Dang, don't you miss those guys?) I believe that this is shaping up to be an unusual season. There doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason yet. Teams that should be winning are losing and vice versa. Could something strange and wonderful be lining up for the Skins??? After all, this IS the first season EVER that the team has had Extremeskins as its Official Message Board! MeNoRevs
Yes, after only 3 games into the season, which we have only played 2. The way that our offence has struggled most of the year, do you think we can beat the more elite teams in the NFL like the Eagles, Bengals, KC, etc.

By week 8, the Skins offense could be humming along pretty well... *thumbsup*

Is there a reason why we shouldn't believe Portis is capable of that type of game??...

Because we havent gotten a rushing TD all year. Because I see the Seahawks doing the same thing the cowboys do and put 8 men in the box and making MB beat them in the air. Thats why I think Portis wont have a game like that.
MeNoRevs
I understand not being optimistic but I don't understand the need to be a downer! Not being a downter, its being realistic. I love my skins to death. But I know its also only week 3 into the season. Its like how the Orioles where at the beginning of the season. Fans where ready to buy World Series tickets. We still have a lot of games ahead of us.

"All year"...lol...I'll paraphrase and say "It's only been two games"...saying "all year" makes it sound like we're in game 10. Guess what, LT on the Chargers didn't have a pass "all year" until tonight...I guess long standing two-week trends can be overcome in week three afterall. It's funny, but things liike "it's only week 3 into the season" only seem to apply when using it towards any Skins success...when aimed towards any skins shortcomings, "week 3 into the season" is MORE than enough time to determine there's no reason for optimism. Cincy put up those number on the bears today.. I watched that game, even Cincy's D had 6 turn overs!! Listen I am a Skin fan for life, but for once in the past 2 years I am opening my eyes and trying to be a realistic person instead of just dreaming that we have no problems!! Our O freaking sucks, I made a post earlier about the games I watched today and I just cant see us competing the way our O is playing!! Freaking 9ers put up more TD's in one game than we have in 2 games, specially on Dallas!! Play calling is a problem, the scheme is a problem and please dont give me that stuff about D carries the team.. You need to score so the D can protect the lead, as you can see our D is not based on Turn overs!! We scored only one TD last year on D ( I might be wrong).. I am just really frustrated that this could yet another outing by our O like it was last year!! Just watch some other games from today you ll see what I am talking about. :helmet:
