Tulane Skins Fan
What's the latest word on this guy? Do you think we have him for Seattle?
Leonard Washington
i dunno...hopefully we keep the new guy on the roster as KOS just in case. we don't have the offense like the eagles to have LBs kicking field goals...(why didn't they have the punter do it?). REDPepper
(why didn't they have the punter do it?). I was wondering the same thing! There isn't THAT much strategy involved in kicking the football, and we know he obviously has a boot if he's in the NFL as a P... but whatever... and what was with the eagles using their LS at their KOS?! WOW. Please never let the day come that LaVar Arrington kicks an extra point, please!
G-Prime
The technique in kicking a punt and a place kick are extremely different. If you haven't done one or the other very much in your life, your not just going to be able to come out and do it. When I played in highschool, I played FB(Then RB when our guy wnet down) and occationally punted when our coach figured we needed distance rather then placement. I couldn't place the ball very well, but I could get it high, far and straight. At the end of the season with a perfect record on the line, our place kicker got hurt, my coach told me to go kick a field goal from the 30 yard line. Sure I could punt 50+ yards, but I had never attempted a place kick in my life. Anyway the center snapped the ball and the QB held it. I ran up to kick and the ball lofted beautifully off the ground....About 3 inches. and slammed hard into the legs of my offensive linemen. I felt aweful.. We still won the game, but coach told me he should have known better.

G-Prime
Yep, and unless you've done it consistantly in the past, more then likely you'd do the exact same thing I did.. Accept you wouldn't run for over 1500 yards and 22 touchdowns.... in a Highschool season. muahahah

TheDarb
We need to keep Novak. I got a feeling the Cowpukes are gonna whack Cortez this week and I'd hate to see Novak go back there.

PIT BULL
NICE story "slobberknockinfootball", really,....... it does bring some enlightenment to the position....BUT, the guys we are talking about are NFL Players, earning MILLIONS, and should be able to "multitask" within reason. It's not like I am asking Jon Jansen to play QB, or Brunnel to play MLB. I am asking a punter to be a kicker. He has had plenty of time to ADD to his team worth, but obviously he thinks he is "underpaid" to learn to do more, than what is asked of him. IMAGINE THAT*:applause:
hokie4redskins
Dos't mine eyes deceive me? Did I just see a Redskins/Ravens signature? Are you outside your mind boy? There's just no logical explanation for that.

LoGiK
most of the time, the punter and kickers have a good relationship and the punter can somewhat place kick.

RVAbrendan
Yeah, what's up with the dueling Ratbirds and Skins sig? I hope John Hall, or rather John Hail:point2sky: will be available. I also do think we should keep Novak on the team for insurance. The kid has potential and loves the Redskins. did anyone see that dallas lineman push cortez in the face for missing the extra point?

DB44
most of the time, the punter and kickers have a good relationship and the punter can somewhat place kick. Logik....Dude...that signature... Thank you for reminding me of our horrid mid 90's teams. That shot, along with Westbroke wipping off his helmet summed up Norv's tenure. Is it a surprise he's 0-3 with the raiders. Back to the topic, if Bubba clears Hall to play this week, he plays. I have confidence in Nick "Jess Atkinson" Novak though. Doctorfro
I really like John Hall but let's face facts.......he can't stay healthy. Put him on IR and let Novak kick. I have no doubt that this kid can do an above average job.
