qcraftsman
Should James Thrash be our #2 receiver over David Patten??? I think he should! Do you??? Watching him play he seems to be very consistent and gets the first down when it is needed. He is always in the right place. What do you think? :insane:
dgreen
Brunell just flat out missed Patten for good gains a couple times last night. He can get open. Thrash is going to be 3rd-and-5 guy.
SlobberKnockinFootball
Thrash is a good role player WR. That's what he excels at. Just leave him where he's at.
Jimbo
Personally, I love Thrash in the slot and on 3rd down. He's becoming a poor man's Ricky Proehl and guys like that are golden.
MLiverpool
Right now Brunell has more chemistry with Thrash, but Patten will come along as the season progresses and Moss draws more and more attention.
qcraftsman
I understand and I know this was only 1 game against dallas ,but you have to admit Thrash was wide open on 3rd downs when he was needed to be. What could he do on 1st and 2nd downs.
TD_washingtonredskins
Keep the WRs where they are. I think Brunell throws to Thrash because he's developed a chemistry with him and he's usually lined up with a better matchup.
IrepDC
Keep Thrash in the slots for mismatches. He will have more attention on him if he's our number 2 guy. Leave Patten at #2 even if he is only a decoy so Thrash can keep getting open at #3. Where he is now is fine.
DB44
Thrash is a good role player WR. That's what he excels at. Just leave him where he's at. I would agree. He has so many other duties on the team, that being our #3 wr is a perfect fit for him. Its a shame Patten got hurt last night. They could have been throwing him bombs all night too. He's perfect for coming in and either being against a lesser coverman or taking attention away from someone else.
RVAbrendan
No. Please step away from the keyboard. I'm saying this out of sheer ignorance, but why does it say "Clint" Portis is your signature?
qcraftsman
You guys are making a good point. I am trying to think how good he would be if all the attention were on him as the # 2 guy. I shouldn't of posted this thread now. I am still in between though...

LegionOfDoom
Thrash is a quality #3 who is dependable and able to get those crucial 3rd down conversions. If he becomes a #2 the defense will game plan with their #2 corner...Thrash is good in Nickel situations finding soft spots in zone coverages. MB needs to develop better timing with Patten...good time for a bye.

RDSKNfaithfull
This is not fantasy football. Take some time and think about what you are saying. Thrash is perfect where he is at in the slot where he gets a free release. If you put him in Pattens postion he will be nothing special. Who is to say he is not the second option for Brunell? FranklinNoble
Thrash will do well at #3 because he's going to be able to outmatch his coverage there. I see no reason to move him.

What could he do on 1st and 2nd downs. True, but if you slide him into the number 2 slot then he's going to go against tough DB's which might not be suited to his talents. Just leave them as they are and keep hitting Thrash when you need a big 1st down.
REEM10
He definitely plays hard for us...but I dont think he should start over Patten. Like somebody said earlier. Brunell missed a couple of passes to Patten that would have been good gains. Plus Patten didnt sit the bench to ge those Superbowl rings. He contributed greatly. We need him on the field. Jett
Also, if we played Thrash as our #2, we would probably have to cut some of his special teams play. I think his biggest contribution is on ST. So my answer is keep him at #
