NoCalMike
I was discussing this with a friend, and we figured why not blow the whistle, let the play run it's course, then if the other team wants to argue it was an incomplete pass let them. The problem with ruling the ball dead is that it makes it unable to be challenged. I don't know how in the hell the hit by Sean Taylor didn't result in a fumble. It seemed pretty clear watching the replay, and the game should have been over right there, but the Skins got screwed because there is nothing they could have done about it. hail2skins
I agree, there are some things I see that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. After that Taylor play I was so certain the Boys were going to convert the 4th and we would be screwed.....that is, until they threw a pass two yards shy of the marker and Harris nailed it. ntotoro
I thought possession calls needed to be made challengeable well before last night...
arkowi
the thing is, if they rule it incomeplete they cannot challege it. so they should always rule it a fumble and then do a both review. just my opinion.
G-Prime
I noticed this year they are calling that real tight, not just during our games but when I was watching KC and the Raiders there was a few of these. I don't like it, takes plays away from Defences
Fatty P For The Pulitzer
This is exactly what commentators have been stressing ever since instant replay was brought back, that refs are supposed to let the play go when it is very close. That way the play can be challenged and the correct call can be made. Whichever ref made the call was extremely trigger happy with his whistle. I don't know how it could be close to an incomplete pass when the guy catches the ball and turns around, then gets hit. How is that not a football move?
