panthro
...would have been the number of turnovers. in the postgame interview, brunell said that the touchdown play was called several times that night but the coverage was there to prevent the ball from being thrown. brunell didn't throw the ball when his man was covered. ramsey would have and would have been picked at least once. yea, i hated all the short throws tonight. but mb was checking down due to the tough defense dallas was playing. jtyler42
Exactly...I dont get people on this board sometimes... If Brunell had thrown into coverage and gotten picked off all the times that play was called we would be calling him a bum, but when he checks down, throws the ball away, and sometimes gets sacked, we still call him a bum and say he played horrible...What gives? I think Brunell has gained some confidence through this game, near the end of the game he began to step up in the pocket and step into his throws...He obviously is becoming more comfortable and that is a good thing for us b/c he is a solid QB... dreamshatterer
the real difference was one was on the sideline and one was on the field.
SkinsGuy
Our offense wasn't mistake-free, but Brunell kept them to a bare minimum, and that was the difference. If Ramsey was playing this game, he'd probably had 4 ints. and 2 fumbles. And I seriously doubt he would've pulled the game out in the end.
