Wow. Pretty scary. Glad you and your wife are alright.

So I guess you've moved since you lived in Dallas (as it indicates in your profile)? Or are you living in Dallas now while you figure out what's next?

No I have a house in Gulfport and in Dallas, the job that I have requires me to travel alot to gulfport and my wifes familys lives down here so I just bought a house for her so she could be close to her family while I commute back and forth to Dallas.

As Huly said, please keep posting the pics.

Again, glad to hear that you are alright.

Its hard for me to look at those pics guys, thats depressing. We dont actually know exactly how much damage there is until we see the pics. My thoughts and prayers go to all the families that was involed and touched by hurricane Katrina! God Bless!

Yes KingLeo it's hard to image that all it took was one day for a whole economy to be wiped out. You take a lot for granted until something like this happens. I mean people who had jobs one day now may not have one at all. I’m at a loss of words to describe the devastation that took place in South Mississippi.

Had a customer of mine in earlier, he was at Naval Station Pascagoula riding the storm out on a ship tied to the pier. The parking lot where his

truck and motorcycle was was under 12 ft of water.

He said the winds hit 150 mph and they had like 22 lines out.

His stories are unreal. When he found where his truck ended up, the waterline was halfway the inside rearview mirror.

How are they recovering?

The recover process has gone really well, my house got phone, cable, and electricty 2 weeks after the storm. Super markets are still really busy it's hard to buy food and when you do it takes about an hour to check out. Gas is still kinda hard to come by but it's get better.

  • 4 weeks later...
Just wanted to clarify something about the pictures that I posted, my wife did not take the pictures like I thought but it was a gentlemen that she was riding with. Sorry for the confusion.
