GreatRiggo44
Call me paranoid, but I have a dreadful fear that ABC might screw up the switchover from the Saints game to the Skins. If I lived on the East coast I would be particularly worried because they said they are going to stay with the Giants game on ABC. If they do stay with the Saints game does this mean the Skins game is going to be on ESPN? It just seems like there is potential to screw this up. It reminds me of the times the Skins were scheduled for a late game and FOX would stay with the end of games that were blowouts. I think it would be better if they just play the Sainst game on ABC and the Skins game on ESPN.
Kenny
I think it's only in the New York and New Orleans markets that will stay with that game on ABC and probably the Skins will be on ESPN in those two markets. I would assume the Skins game will be on ABC everywhere else with the NY-NO game on ESPN. HTTR!!
TimFolk
I don't think the NY/NO markets will get the game at all. The game will be on ESPN to so they'll probaly get it on both stations.
LoGiK
7:00 or 7:15 (dont know exactly) Saints Vs. Giants - ABC 9:00 MNF- Redskins Vs. Dallas -ABC switches giants vs saints to ESPN and Redskins and Cowboys will be nationally televised on MNF. Dont worry.
Moose8701
Here in D.C. I'd bet they cut out on that game early so channel 7 can do their pre-game show
matty dread
This is the deal: For folks in the following markets who want to see the the first half of the Redskins-Cowboys game, dial up ESPN at 9:00 and you'll catch all of the action: New York City; Bangor, Maine; Albany, New York, Binghamton, NY; Elmira, NY; Hartford-New Haven, CT; Portland, ME; Rochester, NY; Syracuse, NY; Utica, NY; Watertown, NY; Alexandria, MS; Baton Rouge, LA; Biloxi, MS; Columbus-Tupelo, MS; Greenwood, MS; Jackson, MS; Lafayette, LA; Meridian, MS; Monroe, LA; New Orleans, LA; Pensacola, FL; and Shreveport, LA. After the Giants-Saints game ends, the Redskins-Cowboys game will migrate back to ABC.
OrangeSkin
So I guess every market gets both games nationally no matter what? Pretty clever by ABC and ESPN...also pretty stupid.

Drakkhim
I have DirecTV and I subscribe to the ABC East affiliate out of NY. My guide shows that the the Giants/Saints game will continue to be on ABC even after 9pm until 1030pm, which is when they'll start showing Redskins/Cowboys. I checked my guide and looked at the ABC West affiliate and it shows Redskins/Cowboys at 9pm. I assume that if you live in the NY area, because ABC NY has rights to the Giants games, that is the game you're going to get after 9pm. Hopefully, ESPN will carry the Redskins game in non-NY areas like was previously posted in this thread.
renegademrnate23
They are going to make sure that Madden and Michaels are on right on time, they cant lose any time for the true MNF game, I was worried about the same thing, but I think they will do it right.....in any case, just hope for a blowout in the first game so there is no reason to stay with it.....HAIL TO THE REDSKINS

SkinsLover
Here in Allentown PA, my Direct TV schedule says "NFL Football" ( hence Giants-Saints ) 7:30-9pm. At 9pm it clearly says "Redskins @ Cowboys". I will be biting my nails until the switchover hoping someone doesnt screw this up. When I see that stupid stadium with the star on the middle of the field, I will feel relief, happiness, churning stomach and dry heaves all at the same time. I wish this game was over and we knew the outcome once and for all. Our Skins better be fired up big time for this one.

Dweezel
Yeah I think it all has to do with the T.V. contracts. I understand that the NY and NO markets will stay with the game on ABC but everyone else should switch

trickblue
I live in Texas, but so close to the Louisiana border that all three major networks are Shreveport/Bossier stations... That area is traditionally a Cowboys stronghold, I just hope they don't stay with the Saints game for sentimental purposes...

Tommy-the-Greek
I believe that the intent of the original poster was that Murphy's law applies when it comes to the Redskins on primetime. ie: The networks will find a way to screw us Redskin fans. I keep telling myself that the Cowboys are the media/network darlings and they wouldn't dare screw the Cowboy fans, so I know they will get it right tonight. However if we were playing any other team tonight, somehow the networks would find a way to screw this up for Redskin fans.
In Flames
you guys are worried? Look where i am, in central friggin' NY, this has been making me sick for days now, don't believe me, ask the cashier how much pepto i have bought!! I guess worst case scenario for me is when the giants-saints end, they will switch to skins-cowboys for 2nd half, but like someone said, im holding out hope for either abc or espn show one half, and then switch over. BraveWarrior
dont worry i called the affialites, ESPN will show the beginning of the Redskins game, and then ABC will get the game once the Giants game ends on ABC. Thank you!!! You are my current favorite member here!!! I live in NJ and was worried about this all day. Fortunately I have a cableTV hookup in my computer and because of where I live I can get the Philly affiliate. But I'd hate to have to watch the game on a computer monitor when I have a 42" flat screen in the living room. I remember being screwed over every which way by the affiliates around here when it came to seeing the Redskins on TV, but since I've had NFL Sunday Ticket I haven't missed a Skins' game in 5 years!
