SlinginSammy HOF '63
doesn't it make you doubters feel a little better about our win last week? 38-6 lead in the fourth, the Bears offense is churning and defense has tore Harrington apart. Grumpy Vet
Yes, actually it does. What did the "experts" say about Detroit going into this season.
Joncevensen
actually yes, it says alot about are defense and also i think we are the number one defense in the league now cuz buffalo is getting whallopped badly by tenessee.
Califan007 The Constipated
I bet that if the Skins beat the Cowboys, the Bears will still be "ranked" higher on the power polls...lol... But yeah, it gives some comfort seeing the Bears offense work the way it is against the Lions, and realizing it came nowhere near looking that good against the Skins' defense. Gizzle
how about the bears with 169 rushing yards SO FAR! Jones better not expect much of a Monday Night.
MLiverpool
Detriot has 197 total yards.. Skins had 323.. Detriot has 1.1 yards per carry.. Skins had 4.1.. Portis had 5.8.. If last week is any indicator.. the Skins might be a lot better then thought.. lets hope..
SlinginSammy HOF '63
They did nothing against our D and it's a testament to what our D and 12th man can do!

SlinginSammy HOF '63
Now when Denver SMASHES San Diego (lets hope), wont it feel nice? That's about the only good game this afternoon. The thing is they'll have Gates back so no telling what SD could've done last week with Gates.
SlinginSammy HOF '63
Is Aikman smoking something? He just said Chicago only gave up 164 yards against us last week.
jmorley100@msn.com
Panthere and Pats seem to have a good one going. Last seen score there was 20 - 17 Panthers. Underwater Ally
Does make me feel very good about the D. With Brunell leading the offense, I'll believe it when I see it. Show me the yards and the points.
jmorley100@msn.com
Brunell scares me lol Never been a Brunell fan. If Campbell is the futre...start him. He cant do no worse than the other 2 did last week.
Califan007 The Constipated
What about after seeing what Tampa Bay did to Buffalo??... They beat the bills 19-3, with Griese going 16/22 for only 136, no TDs and no INTs. BUT, the running game was great and the defense took care of the Bills offense... SlinginSammy HOF '63
Aikman meant total offense. He was talking about how great the Bears D has started out this year giving up only 164 yards and three FGs against us. Maybe I misheard it. Maybe he meant either passing or rushing. SkinsGuy
You have to remember that all these so-called "experts" were saying all off-season that the loss of Smoot and Pierce were gonna be devastating to the Redskins. No way they are gonna let go of that in one week. It'll take a couple of more performances for them to change thier tune. They'll never admit they were wrong. They'll just start giving the Redskins 'D' more respect again.

Actually i think the SEA ATL game is one worth checking out, seeing as how SEA is favored by 1.5 .. and the MIA NYJ game will be worth a quick glance to see how chad responds after his horrid game last week

Yup and for Chicago Orton only has 150 yards but their D is forcing turnovers and their running the ball which goes back to what the basis of winning games is. Good D and running the ball. While I have HUGE doubts about Brunell, his decision making and ability to manage the game are not among those doubts...this is looking VERY good for the Skins tomorrow night. TheLongshot
Well, it validates me, because there was a lot of discounting the Bears defense, and what they can do. I always thought they had a great defense, which is why I wasn't expecting much scoringwise. Makes their division interesting, doesn't it. Kinda backwards now. The Vikings look like they can't get out of their own way, and Green Bay is hurting. It is now between the young, raw teams in Detroit and Da Bears. Bears win round one.
