Yeah, like the city of N.O. defending Katrina the Skins are going to wash Dallas out; Portis will get over 124yds from scrimage we're gonna shut Jones down and then ambush Bledsoe :dallasuck Speaking of N.O., when they take care of the Giants, we'll be sitting atop the NFC East and then Philly is next.....Ryan Clark, Sean "The Hawk" Taylor will be flying all over the place and on offense too, Springs will be intercepting we're taking over the NFC and it starts on Monday...remember I predicted 13-3 to Larry Michael during training camp. :dallasuck :dallasuck :dallasuck :dallasuck :dallasuck

The game is in Dallas so the advantage certainly tips to your side for that alone. If the game is played relatively cleanly by both teams I don't actually expect we'll have a long night at all. If you take the incomplete snapshot of last year's first game where you guys didn't have a turnover, the game was largely decided by a game-changing call that went your way giving you points early, and a game-changing call that went your way removing points from us late.

Things have obviously changed since then, and not necessarily for the better on your end. While you will continue working in new, young players and fitting the pieces together, we have relative roster stability which is an advantage you had a year ago.

If Mark Brunell throws for 300 yards, barring surprising calls, it won't matter really how well you play in terms of avoiding turnovers because all things being equal -- meaning a clean game both teams play well in -- the advantage is ours due to a superior, proven defense at this point.

Now, this statement ASSUMES Brunell is capable of performing well still. That, I grant, is an open question I don't know the answer to.

Art, If Brunell throws for 300 yards in this game there will be more heartattacks in and around the beltway then there are idiots in Texas.

I've never heard Cowboys fans so confident as I have this week..........

I don't know how much of it is based on the recent history between the two teams, (though it is probably 90%), the confidence in how good they are based on week one, or how sorry they think the Redskins are, but it is bordering on the confident arrogance the fans here had during the Superbowl years. It is absolutely sickening!!

Any of you fellow Texan Extremeskins experiencing this???????

I think we were taken more serious during the Petitbon /early Norv years than we are now!

This will be a win we remember for a long time. It could be the win this organization needs to finally turn the corner.

Recent transplant to Texas. No offense, but thats just Texans being Texans. We're going on one year here, and we're still trying to adjust. It aint easy!!! HTTR!!!

I can tell you as a Washingtonian that indeed, the lack-of-confidence and confusion about the team is at an all-time high here in DC going into Monday Night. There are, of course, the strong-willed and the bull-headed on this board who remain ****y no matter what, but even the local radio shows are non-committal at best about this game. Fans everywhere simply roll their eyes at the prospect of sitting down on Monday Night and tuning in.

Patrick Crayton's catch at the end of the last matchup completely disheartened alot of people in this town, whether they admit it here or not. (Actually, my own heart took some mean shots after Stephen Davis fumbled in Dallas on a Monday night to allow the 'Boys to drive into FG range and after the pass from Aikman to Ishmael in DC one opening day, each game extending an ALREADY humbling streak at their prospective times.)

It just doesn't look good. I'll be foaming at the mouth come kickoff, but until then what can a Redskin fan say in defense of such a mock rivalry? We're the joke until we change the punchline.

I live in Austin and work in Temple so we arent to far apart and I am hearing the same thing. You really cant blame them....Untill this organization stablizes we will continue to recieve this treatment....When we named Brunnell the starter my friends celebrated as if JG phoned Parcells and conceeded victory.

Just adding fuel to the fire. Let them keep it up, I got something for them.

Muwhahaha

:hump:

Tell you how bad it's gotten. Several of my co-workers have taken Monday off to participate in a big cowpie tailgate party that starts at 12 noon in the town of Marfa at some Dallas superfan's house. Everytime I passed a one of them at work Friday all I heard were words like "we can't wait for Monday night" or "Dallas 87-Washington 3" or "the refs hate you, no way you guys can win".

Wonder if wearing my reebok spear hat yesterday had something to do with it. :D

I think I would be confident too if my team had won 14of15 and the other team was going to start the worst NFL QB of 2004 over the only QB to beat us in about a decade.

Especially after beating a divisional winner on the road last week with a strong performance from a QB that almost everyone thought would be pretty much done already. Oh, and the game is in Dallas too.

Ramsey did his part last year for the Redskins to win in Dallas. Will Brunell even be able to keep it close this time around? If not then making the switch was a huge mistake before the most important game of this entire season.

The sad thing is that they got one thing right. I does seam as though the refs hate us. Did you see the first part of the Gibbs interview on redskins.com? You don’t get the entire clip. You get then end part or them talking about the hit on Ramsey and how the NFL did nothing about it. I say we all write Tagliabue over and over again until that :pooh: head and all his :gang: refs understand that you need to be fair.

Unfortunately, I agree that the ref's seem to hate us. I always wondered what how much the Cowboys paid the "Hometown" refs at texas stadium.
