chaught76
The "EXPERT PICKS" from CBS Sportsline crew have 3 out of 6 of them picking us to beat Dallas. Also, in the Harmon Forecast, Harmon says we win Monday and early this season because we have a soft early schedule. He also implies the cowboys :puke: are soft. <--  :applause:
bulldog
Julius Jones looks like a 1,400 yard back to me. That is scary given the Cowboys were able to find him in the second round. That is some fine personnel work on their part. At the same time, I see a defense that is still quite a bit behind where Parcells wants them to be given what we saw out of the Giants, Patriots and Jets previously. The secondary is indeed soft in coverage. The linebackers were often out of position Sunday and failed to make a number of tackles in the open field which lead to longer gains. There is work to be done there. I think the Skins and Cowboys are very close right now. The Skins are ahead of the Cowboys in terms of defensive consistency and being confident working in their system. The Cowboys are ahead of the Redskins right now in terms of the relationship of the qb and the wide receivers. Even given the Chargers DBs, Bledsoe and the veteran receivers looked very attuned to one another. They looked like they had been playing together for a couple of years. This mixed bag to me means a close game. Those people picking the Cowboys in a blowout I think are in for a surprise.
Cou-!@#$DALLAS-gh
Those people picking the Cowboys in a blowout I think are in for a surprise. I agree totally.... I dont understand how the cowgirl fans think its going to be a blow out... No one has solved our defense... Who wins will be decided on how many points we can score on offense... i say we make a few big plays with a big INT on defense and we come out on top 17-13:applause:

chaught76
Sorry, couldn't resist. To your point though, a low scoring game would play to our strengths and probably gives us the best chance to win. I personally think how much we win by will be determined by how much Gibbs opens up the offense and if we can get a downfield passing game going. :dallasuck
gortiz
Harmon's picks in week 1 were pretty accurate, can't find the link now - SORRY, I'm at work, but I saw them last night ...

That is some fine personnel work on their part. I agree about Jones. However, it is a good thing that we have Clinton Portis who looks like a 1,500 yard back at least to me. The kicker is that we also have a back up rb that could start for any team in the league. Thats not a shabby combination to have.

That is some fine personnel work on their part. Portis and Betts were both 2nd round draft picks. I really think that a lot of backs could rush for 1400 a year. That's only 87.5 a game. I you give any running back 25 carries a game and they average 3.5, there you have it. The real backs get separated from the pretenders at 1600 yards.
