What are they redskins neglected by ESPN?

I watch sports center all the time when i have the chance (i don't have cable). But whenever i watch, i notice that the word "Redskins" gets mentioned less than .000005 times per show. Why is that? Why doesn't the Skin get any lime light?

I was watching nfl network on nfl.com for week 2 previews. The redskins vs cowboys preview was the last on the list.. AND IT was CUT OFF before it even started.

Can someone answer this for me??? Its not fair. The 49ers gets the spotlight (even before their win against stl), the dolphins now get some light, EVEN THE BROWNS do! We? We just get Eastern Motors commercials

*Where your jobs your credit* lol

Yeah, but with our defense as good as it was last year....I dont understand how we are always shoved to the back of the line and being discounted. And you know what, its not just ESPN, its everyone. If we win this game against the Boys I think that will be a huge step for them not being able to ignore us anymore.

You must be new to this board. Everyone hates the Skins. Every media outlet, every network, every team, other fans, announcers, refs, commisioners, EVERYONE! There is a bias against the skins from everyone and everything from every angle conceivable. Got it! :(

I guess I don't see it since I'm a Cowboys fan in Maryland, and all I hear from the local media/980 Sports Talk is Skins 24/7.

What I have noticed though, is everytime ESPN shows highlights/clips/segments on players or teams doing well and they use past coverate; they always show them beating/burning/crushing the Cowboys! Every positive report on any team or player always has one small clip of them doing well against the Cowboys!

What the hell is that all about?!?

I think every fan thinks that the world hates his team. I'm in Ravensland so I always hear negative things about the Skins and when I turn on ESPN I keep hearing how soft Yao is  HE DOESN'T GET A BREAK DURING THE SUMMER YOU CLOWNS

There is no media bias against the Skins (other than the obvious Pastabelly & Peter King). Several people have touched on the problem. We have one playoff appearance in 12 years. Plus after being active in the FA market and making several big colorful coaching changes since 2000 every analyst out there has been burned by thinking that this is the year the Skins turn it around. Right now we are the boy that cried wolf.

I'm pretty sure if you go onto every team's message board and you will find a thread like this, even New England.

Besides, other than the QB change what exactly is there to talk about? We think we have a shot at being a good team but until it our offense consistently starts to put up points we are the same 6-10 team as last year. Most people that have paid close attention notice that the O-line is markedly better than last year in both pass protection and the running game. Lets see it translate to wins now.
