IrepDC
Am I the only one who thinks we are under utilizing Santana Moss. The reason I originally liked the trade for Coles is because I think Moss is more versatile. Granted we've only played one game but I think if Moss is ignored in our offense for too long he will become frustrated. Here are the ways I think we should be getting him the ball. Deep ball- Obviously Gibbs and Brunell won't do this often but try to give him a chance or two to use that speed down field. Short ball- If Brunell(or whoever) can get him the ball short, but in the open field (pick plays or isolations), he can use his "skillz" to make a BIG play. Misdirection- I think a couple reverses,or fake reverses, will freeze up some defenders or atleast take away a few if Gibbs sends Portis running the opposite way off a fake. Defenses will have to respect Moss' speed and they will have to sacrifice defenders to cover Moss. :notworthy RETURN MAN!:notworthy - This is my biggest one. The guy was a freak at punt returner for the Jets. He single handedly won some games for thim off just returns. I think with our D and him returning we will win the field position battle every game. Then with the great field position, if Moss doesn't just score himself, our offense will have less pressure and a much shorter field. As a returner he could be the spark are offense has needed. What do you guys think? Again, just one game but I don't know if Gibbs is gonna use him like he should.

Underwater Ally
We're already short on WR's.. Yeah, but what do we need wide recievers for? Look who our quarterback is.
Underwater Ally
I believe its been announced that Moss and Thrash will be the return men on Monday night. I'm willing to bet our special teams squad outscores our offense.

Redskins_SF
I believe Moss will be used on special occasions, like Darrell Green in his earlier years, to provide a spark at a critical point in the game on special teams. You have to be careful because you don't want to have him injured by putting him out there on a regular basis.
The Showstopper
weve only played 1 game, believe me, we will utilize him
Vegas-Born
I think he will have a bunch of touches this week.
Beaudry
Didn't Moss have 96 yards on Sunday? That would be a 1500 yard season. Of all the problems to worry about with this team, underutilizing a receiver (on pace for a 1500 yard season) after ONE GAME seem to be very low on the totem. BigDaddyShoo
I believe its been announced that Moss and Thrash will be the return men on Monday night. Betts and Thrash on kickoffs, Moss on Punts.
azmodeus13
Bring that kid up from the preseason - a WR and a PR... and boy did he blow the lid off on a couple of KR... what was his name... Foster?
TimFolk
It starts on Monday Night.
dwills1
We threw to moss deep 1 time in the bears game, and that was when Brunell was intercepted. If Gibbs doesn't open up that play book this season, it's going to be a long year.
kappaluvacee
Moss got used on Sunday. He went out temporarily with an injury, but he still got good yardage.
TimFolk
Yeah, he should be one of the main weapons for Monday Night.
IrepDC
So you guys are saying he wouldn't be a BIG boost in special teams? And, don't just "assume" because we played only one game that Gibbs will use him more. I hope he does but I will believe it when I see it. "Of all the problems to worry about with this team, underutilizing a receiver (on pace for a 1500 yard season) after ONE GAME seem to be very low on the totem." Like I said putting him at return man WOULD help our biggest problem. He will not only set up the O for easier points he will occasionally score himself. Do you agree? TheDane
I don't understand. "Underutilized"? We've played one game. And I thought we did use a fake end-around against the Bears, although I confess that I can't remember if it was Moss or Brown.
THEHEREAFTER
I would be shocked if Moss isn't used in every way imaginable Mon. night.

azmodeus13
Injured? I thought he had dehydration problems... Gibbs mentioned something about him getting IVed at half time. chaj70123
I think your right IrepDC we should use moss more on special teams. But if he goes down from returning punts or kickoffs we will be second guessing or selves.
