ChampSkinsFanatic
If it's close enough to come down to kicking I will be happy. I hope we win by a large margin, I hate counting on the kicker. Remember that one year when he had NO kicker when Bret Conway got injured. The year the Giants went to the superbowl, we missed a kick that would have got us in the playoffs and probably put the Giants out of the playoffs:gaintsuck
Jimbo
Didn't he kick in Texas Stadium during Dallas' final preseason game? He made a 49 yarder and missed another. At least he's kicking on turf so it should be a bit easier.
miguelskins
This could very well be a field position game. How does this guy do on kickoffs? Remember the NFL kicks off from farther back. Can he do it? Or will he give them excellent starting field position? Our D is good. But not that good if they only have to go 30-45 yards to score. Whiskeypeet
I want our offense to score so often his kicking game WILL NOT EVEN come into consideration!!Blondie Exactly. Hopefully the TDs will flow on monday night like watered down beer.
Whiskeypeet
Nick was TERRIBLE his senior year. What a shock to see a negative post from you.
TheREALJBird
Novak is young but, at Maryland, he did win some big games for the terps. Plus, he is kinda the all time scoring leader in the ACC, I think. Hopefully he will be as composed as he was in college. And even though he is only a kicker he will be motivated to kick against a team that cut him. Yup, he is the ACC all-time leading scorer. I'm not the least bit worried, Novak has a hell of a leg and good poise, I think we'll be fine :dallasuck
CHUBAKAH
You know if we lose by a FG I am holding you 100% responsible.
ArmchairRedskin
Our playcalling might be a little more aggressive because we don't want to rely to much on a guy who hasn't been battle tested yet. Let's hope so.
jrockster21
I honestly thought this was going to be a troll thread where the name had been changed by one of the Mods. I'm still not convinced that it's not. Scurred or not. That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it! I was expecting to see something along the lines of "Redskins suck! Brunell is horrible! Blah blah blah!!"
Joncevensen
Let us pray, God, may Novak turn out to be a good kicker monday night and just once may we sign a kicker that works out (sorry john hall but uve been injured too much for us to be able to judge u)
GrimReefa
Novak is a good kicker, who was a big reason why Maryland had such a resurgence under the Fridge. You guys need to watch more college ball.
SonnyRules
Glad to have a Terp on the team. Novak blows hot and cold. When he is on; he can hit from anywhere. When he is off; he is a head case. :wewantd:

When he is off; he is a head case.:wewantd: You can say that for about any kicker... except the best of them I dunno.... like college coaches.... I hate college kickers with no experience. I just don't see enough success stories to change my mind. Even the ones that go on to have good years... have "decent" years by my standards. There's a reason why the Colts didn't cut Vanderjagt a few years ago.
