pR0JEkT 21
the Redskins are going to need to make some changes like every off season. Now depending on what their record is and how they finsh and people like Ray Brown retiring we should start thinking about next year as well as this season. What do you guys think will be the Redskins main concern as far as filling positions. Defensive end, Quarterback, because the Redskins never get enough of those or cant make up their mind or any other type of position including coaching staff? Think Dan the man Snyder will fire coach Gibbs if they fail to make the playoffs or improve their record from last years season? I personelly think that Gibbs will be here through out his whole 5 year contract and that the Redskins will improve this year roughly a 10 and 6 season. As far as positions Im not quite sure we definately need a pass rusher someone like a Julius Peppers wouldnt hurt our defense. Maybe even another hard nose hitting free or strong imagine having like 2 Sean Taylors on the team. Wow that would be nice! Also Ive been posting Dallas Cowboy Jokes at this link..http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=114239 I will be putting about 2 a day until I cant find anymore! Cant wait till sunday...are you ready for some football? :dallasuck

pR0JEkT 21
Really why would give a run for Jamal Lewis when we have Clinton Portis isnt that just a little wierd. I mean your entitled to your own opinion, I would just like to know why you would think that? It be cool if we did get him, but I doubt it! China
I think we've waited eight long months from the end of last season to get to this point. I'm in no hurry for the offseason again. I'm going to enjoy the season now without worrying about next offseason. There will be plenty of time for that when the season is done.

I agree, WAY too early to start disaster planning. I do think that when the season ends, it will be time to get Campbell ready for the long term. :dallasuck
Dead Money
We need depth for the DL and OL. TE should be a major priority too. We also need depth at CB. Oh did I mention we are going to need a QB to back up Cambell?

Come on guys we are 1-0 and heading into Dallas you really want to think about the offseason? I don't. I still see us going into the playoffs and scarring people. sealskin
I personally think we wont need many changes. We wont draft another qb. Campbell will be ready by next season if Ramsey is not here. Brunell's cap hit concerns me. I am not sure if he will be here. My biggest concern is the defensive line. We need a game changer preferably at defensive end through the draft. I would draft defensive line in the first three rounds (if we get a first rounder back) unless a big possession receiver drops to us. As much as i dont like Keyshaun he would be great in this system. Every year a wide receiver seems to drop to the second round who makes an immediate impact. Cincinnati of all teams struck gold with Chad Johnson and Chris Henry in this past draft. Henry looked very good in the preseason. Both were second rounders. There was also Anquan Boldin and Colbert for the Panthers. :2cents:

And has been playing for 4 years. He still can't play. I hope you are right though!

Maybe Campbell will be our starting QB next year who knows.. :whoknows: personally if wez can get a real good 2nd WR that would help Campbell as well, but he definately needs to get the reps in the preseason alot more than last year. aussieskin
does anyone think that TO could end up a redskin, i know gibbs wouldnt like it because he has character flaws, but if his contract stated that if he made unsavoury comments then he would forfeit all of his signing bonus for the first remark and then all of his contrated monies for the second remark and be sacked immediately, neither would be a lot of money anyway, but santana on one side TO on the other and Cooley cuttin up the middle, would drive secondaries bananas....go skins
TLusby
We need a strong #2 WR (move Patten to #3) with Thrash and maybe A. Brown as our #4. We need OL depth and maybe a FA replacement for Dockery if available. We need a real TE as Royal isn't the guy. Perhaps, Johnson can get a chance or step it up. He looked very good the short time he's played. We need a strong DE to replace Wynn or Daniels. (which ever would yield the best cap savings). We need a MLB if LA is traded because Marshall will be better at the WLB position and we need a larger downhill type MLB for the run.
Buck812
We need.... MLB Marshal isnt it and should be moved to the 4th LB Wr TO replace Patten DL Depth or a pash rushing DE QB Brunnell is to old and cant play any more, Ramsey is still unknown, Campbell is to inexperienced TE would be nice too Quite a bit to be honest
36HAMMER
Maybe we can pry roy williams wr from the lions, some say he's not doing so well there. maybe for ramsey.it's just a thought don't be rude.

Lewis is intriguing, but is probably out of our price range. Tico Duckett may be a more affordable option, if he is available.

I think I'm going to put everyone else on my ignore list and just read TLusby's posts from now on. The fact that I have as many sacks for the Redskins this year as Wynn is disconcerting. whlinder
Any thoughts on Eric Moulds? He still has something left, would come cheap, and played for Gregg Williams. I would rather him than to blow our cap on a bad WR or on T.O. ETA- whoops I missed the Eric Moulds thread.... duh

I know there is a thread about Portis wanting T.O here well, I think we need him here too.
