davidyee
...so how do I beat the Redskins. First, if you don't think I don't know where Portis is at all times, then you don't belong in this forum. Clint doesn't get the chance to beat us. We won't get run over! I stunt my 3-4 at you all day to wear down your o-lne if I can. I gotta get to Brunell becasue I'm going to stack the odds against Portis and ask Brunell to try and beat me. Moss gets no daylight. Patten and the rest of the irregulars have to make the plays. I'm going to shriek at my players this entire week to overcome my mental mistakes. I'm going to win the stats war on penalties and turnovers. It's max protection all the way to protect Bledsoe. If he gets hit he's gonna lay the ball on the ground. I have to protect against that. Look for alot of two tightend sets with both Dan Campbell and Jason Witten. Jason Witten has to get open. If he is game planned for the Peerless Price or Patrick Crayton have to be the difference makers. I'm playing for TOP and field position all game because given the stout Skins defence it could come down to a FG. Who's kicker is better mine or yours. My guess is it's going to be a low scoring affair. The difference in this game may actually be a trick play.

CowboyBlog
Agree on points 1 -5 and 7. The offense is a run offense. Since day 1, the plan has been to protect the QB by making the reads quick and easy. The two tight end sets are correct. The boys pull the fullback for the 2nd TE. Whitten and Crayton / Price are pawns. They are not the first options in the majority of the plays. Some pre-snap reads dictate whitten will be open, but no play is called for whitten. Thats why he only caught one last week, SD wanted to stop the run. Time of possession is a big key for every team in every game. The boys dont have a lot of confidence in the kicker, so I doubt Parcells plays for field goals. (Example: sitting on 3rd down) Trick play? I dont know how you would predict that. My prediction: Madden says Larry Allen and the word "powerfull" about 15 times during the first half. J. Jones gets on the trailer.
lucky*13
The Dallas secondary looked very slow against the super chargers,i bet the skins get a couple of deep ones against henry and that linebacker they call a safety. :dallasuck

He isn't asked to cover anymore. For obvious reasons.
Dan T.
... The difference in this game may actually be a trick play. Tuna, you mean one of those "Jap" plays? No offense to the Orientals out there. Actually, nice post. I would say Brunell's savvy enough -- and Moss and Patten are quick enough-- to make you pay dearly for stacking 8 men in the box to stop Portis. And our dump-off guy when the blitz is coming -- young Mr. Cooley -- is pretty reliable. But davidyee, come in from the cold, dump Dallas and embrace the Redskins. jrockster21
My guess is it's going to be a low scoring affair. The difference in this game may actually be a trick play. Don't ya mean a Jap play?? The one-two punch of Portis and Betts is going to wear down the Dallas defense. Portis made the Steeler's 3-4 look like they had never played the game of football before. Dallas' D is much less experienced than the Steelers. Portis, not Jones, will be the one to run for 150+ and 3 scores. Dallas' secondary looks as if they were issued concrete shoes they are so slow. Moss and Patten are going to have a field day...if Brunell can get them the ball. Henry will be cut after this game. And the Dallas offense played well against the Chargers defense, but if you think that will equate to success against the Skins then you're in for a big surprise. Bledsoe is going to get hit and he's going to get hit often. And when Bledsoe is pressured, he's a lot like Ramsey -- he makes poor decisions. And Julius Jones will be a non-factor, just like last year.
Dan T.
Redskins by 90. Here's the simple scientific formula I used to figure that out: Parcells' weight (360) divided by Michael Irvin arrests (4) = 90.

lucky*13
Ya i watched the game, and as much as the chargers went after henry,he better have some tackles. Henry likes to jump the reciever routes, and the chargers did not take advantage of that, but the skins will see this, and moss and patten have a whole lota speed. oh ya,Sean Taylor is the hardest hitting man in football and he can actually cover a reciever downfield. I'm having a hard time listening to Die Hard Redskins fans in love with Joe Gibbs and Mark Brunell. Fact is that Gibbs started the season with a horrible QB that believed was better than brunell. Something has got to be wrong with the logic. Its simple math If Brunell is the savior, then Gibbs is an idiot If Gibbs is a genious, then Brunell is not that good You cant have both Gibbs being a genious and Brunell being a good starting QB. Mature adults with responsibilities have trouble sleeping when they allow themselves to believe in lazy logic such as this. I know which one it is, but I'm not telling.
