Being that I'm the one defending the Post, I'll assume your predicatble name calling was directed at me. I never claimed they weren't bias, papers are all bias, they even endorse individuals in presidential races so their stances are no secret. What I did say is that the Post is easily one of the best papers in all of the United States and as that Rush Limbaugh has even complimented them on his show. The Wall Street Journal is also bias, the other way, and I consider it one of the best as well. Some of us can look reality in the face and not cry about it.

BTW - Claiming that halifaxlive got it wrong is fine, but we can all see the video ourselves. What you are claiming is doesn't fit with what I saw nor does it make sense to do a follow up pointing out the liberal leanings of Canada and repeating the accusation.

The two papers I read are the Washington Post and NYT (love them both). I think the Washington Post is probably the closest you can get to non-biased news

If you can't see the positive remarks made by John Gibson about Canada's aid and letting the Canadian PM correct the record about it in that video you need to lay off the crack pipe. Seriously...:doh:

OMG!! Are you deaf and blind? Do you have a clear understanding of the English language? I guess you didn't see where he sets up the Canadian PM so he can explain all the things Canada has done for Katrina relief including the oil imports. Then he says the Canadian rescue teams made it to NO before the Americans did. He says you’re not supposed to embarrass us in a joking manor. Then goes on to name several things the Canadian gov has offered including ships, med supplies, housing, etc. He then asks about if the relief is in anyway trying to embarrass Pres Bush because the Canadian gov is left leaning (Are you denying this?) from the tone in which he asked the question in he didn't believe it himself.

Man, I just watched it for a second time, and I got the same impression, they made themselves look like a fool trying to paint Canada into a picture of "doing this not to help but to embarass us". It was pure unintentional comedy, and the funny part is that they (Fox) don't even realize people are laughing at them :rotflmao:

What the hell are you talking about? The list of stuff Canada gave was only part of the clip, and no one is arguing with that. We are talking about second half - the "liberals trying to embarass President Bush" part of the clip. You did watch that part, didn't you?

A Similar event happened in the city of Bombay in India a few months ago. We had torential rain (Ok not the wind that katrina bought with it, i understand) but anyway we had 37 inches of rainfall in a 24 hr period.

The Indian Army and Coast gauard were isnide the city within 12 hrs and the city was back on its feet within 5 days. The whole city flooded, thousands died, but the response was much quicker.

Now I'm not bashing anyone in this difficult time for all of us and for relatives and friends down there but if ya'll sit here and tell me that the preventive measures in place and afterward response was suffiecient with one side blaming the other..it looked lie amateur hour.

This will come and bite eveyone in the ass including Bush, FEMA etc

I really didn't think anything like this could happen in this country after living all over the world but I guess it does.

Anyway just my two cents
