jimster
Nick Novak. Oh boy. U of MD all time leading scorer, can kick it in from 50+ I don't see the problem.
bulldog
I wasn't laughing, although you must admit that we are making this move because of injury to a quality starter not because of a dearth of talent already at the position
jimster
And everyone here laughed when we had to sign Novak and had to decide between him and Cortez. not me, I was sad you signed a MD guy and releived when you released him.
MonkeySkin
Joe Gibbs is a liar. He promised Antonio Brown he would be the primary kick returner. After ONE GAME he not only is demoted, but released. I can never trust Joe Gibbs again. He's evil. Somebody ban him now
jimster
Last year I defended Chad Morton and many people called me stupid, now Chad Morton in his 1st game with his new team runs back a TD and Brown fumbles away another TD to the opponent. bulldog
I think we can replace a 2.5 yard average on punt returns and a muffed punt return in the lineup without too much trouble

I liked Chad too, but he was over paid and injured. That's why he's not here.
MRMADD
Antonio Brown = Taylor Jacobs. Good riddance. I don't freakin' understand how he got a job in the first place.

Yes, but what had Morton done for us? Zip....
BraveWarrior
Bubba told me A Brown was going to perform like Dante Hall this year. I feel jipped. A. Brown was a lot like the Human Joystick...just without the joy.
jimster
Yes, but what had Morton done for us? Zip.... the point I've been trying to make - maybe it's the people around him? We haven't had a good returner since the early 90's.

Monte51Coleman
And everyone here laughed when we had to sign Novak and had to decide between him and Cortez. I guess that Novak doesn't tackle as well as Cortez.
Grumpy Vet
You gotta believe everyone is looking over their shoulders. That may be a good thing. I was one of the ones that suggested benching Ramsey and keeping AB seemed inconsistent. This move seems logical and I'm relieved to see it. Agree w/ the depth @ WR = kinda shallow...but then again - I didn't realize #21 was a red zone WR.

Hollywood2k3
Damn, I was hopin' they gave him atleast one more week. I was one of the few that actually liked A. Brown. I hope he catches on with someone else and does good, as long as they're not in the NFC East that is
d0ublestr0ker0ll
This is exactly what I was getting at in a post from yesterday...that maybe Ramsey's benching had to do with sending a message to the entire team, and not just to Ramsey, about protecting the ball. I also said that if Antonio Brown was either released or deactivated this week, it would lend some validity to that theory... There's no question this has almost everything to do with it. Gibbs thinks turnovers are the most devistating thing that can happen to an offensive play.
DjTj
I hope Novak grabbed a Cowboys playbook while he was there... So I guess our WR depth chart is now: Santana Moss David Patten James Thrash Sean Taylor Taylor Jacobs (questionable)
keithabbott
Here's what I think is going to happen... Antonio out..Novak in John Hall will go to the practice squad Rich Parson will move to active roster... thus 5 receivers and 6 if you include Taylor. They still have their TE's so they'll have plenty of targets. And after the terrible pre-season by Jonathan Combs..I see him getting released at some point this year to make room for someone. REEM10
Gibbs dont play with that turnover stuff. We would have shut out the Bears if he didnt fumble.
