Questions for everyone supporting this move...

Do you think Ramsey was given a fair opportunity to suceed here?

Do you think Gibbs ever gave him the confidence to suceed here?

Could you be confident, if your boss kept telling everyone you backup isn't done doing YOUR job? (Gibbs said Brunell isn't done playing here in DC, during the summer)

Could you be confident if you had to learn to do your job 4 different ways in 4 different coaching schemes?

Do you think Brunells potential is more than Ramsey's?

Do you feel we will now make the playoffs with this move?

If you answer 'yes' to all these questions than please explain, because as much of a supporter of any move Gibbs makes, I can't understand how you can judege someone on 1 quarter. Especially after seeing him do what Ramsey did in the last 7 games last year when he was the starter, not games trying to come back.

What I would like to know is how many interceptions and fumbles did Ramsey have in those last seven games of 2004. Those are what disturb me the most. Clearly he has the potential, but you just don't see it taking shape the way you would like. Poor decisions and poor pocket presence haunt this guy.

But, to answer your question... no, he just never got a fair shake here. I think it was more just poor luck and circumstance then anything. At this point, I think it would be best for him to get a change of scenery. Hopefully he will be very successful. I wouldn't mind rooting for him.

He was given an entire off-season and preseason to succeed. If he's a QB worth anything, he shouldn't have to have his coach rubbing his shoulders throughout the entire process. Ramsey might have had it tough under Spurrier, but just because there is a reason for his mistakes, doesn't mean you play him anyway. I think Brunell's short term potential (ie. this season) is more than Ramsey's. I think we will be a better team with this move...I don't know if we're a playoff team, but we're closer with Brunell in there.

EB last night on Sportsnite said that alot of the coaching staff had input on this decision. EB also stated that the reason"s" could not be explained in 1-2 sentences. Apparently the staff is not seeing enough progress to keep PR in there. "They" felt it was time.

1) have you been watching the same film of PR going back to his rookie year that JG has been watching?

2) Are you privvy to the advice and counselt that JG has been receiveing from his staff vis PR?

3) Do you know what he has been asking PR to do and in what order of priority?

4) Do you think fairness is the principle issue for athletes being paid MILLIONS of dollars to do one thing (WIN) when coaches decide on what is best for a team?

5) Do you think 1 pick & 1 fumble a game by the QB is acceptable?

6) Do you think that as a player enterring his 4th year, given all the change around him, that PR is at the level he should be at?

7) Do you believe JG and the coaches make decisions based on saving face? religious faith? or any other non-football criterion?

8) Do you think there may be things going on behind the scenes we fans do not know about?

9) Where do you think PR should be at this stage so expectations can be set appropriately?

1. Who cares. No one owes any player anything.

2. Not Gibbs job. If a player doesn't have the confidence to succeed, they wont succeed.

3. Who cares, no one cares about your job or mine.

4. Not Gibbs concern, nor mine. Can you perform NOW, that's the question.

5. Ramsey has more potential, but Brunell is better right now, I want to win now.

6. Possibly, I think Gibbs thinks we have a shot at the playoffs.

Do you think Ramsey was given a fair opportunity to suceed here? He had 26 regular season games and numerous preseason games and practices to show what he can do. That's plenty.

Do you think Gibbs ever gave him the confidence to suceed here? Confidence comes from being able to perform, not from what others give you.

Could you be confident, if your boss kept telling everyone you backup isn't done doing YOUR job? (Gibbs said Brunell isn't done playing here in DC, during the summer) If I could do the job, I'd be confident.

Could you be confident if you had to learn to do your job 4 different ways in 4 different coaching schemes? Ramsey played under 2 coaches in the NFL, Spurrier and Gibbs. Learning 2 systems should make you more confident that you can do the job, if you can do it. The more systems you play in, the better you should understand the game.

Do you think Brunells potential is more than Ramsey's? I think Brunell's potential to win games this year is greater than Ramseys. In the long run, if Ramsey can cut down the turnovers, he might someday be as good as Brunell was 5 years ago.

Do you feel we will now make the playoffs with this move? I think we have a better chance with Brunell than Ramsey.

Especially after seeing him do what Ramsey did in the last 7 games last year when he was the starter, not games trying to come back. Ramsey was judged on what he did during the entire time Gibbs was here. His lack of improvement this year in preseason and the Bears game is what made Gibbs go with Brunell. I thought Ramsey played better last year than this year.

Brunell went 118/237, 1194 Yds, 7 TDs, 6 Int, 3 Fumbles Lost as a starter in 9 games in 2004.

Ramsey went 142/217, 1313 Yds, 8 TDs, 6 Int, 1 Fumble Lost as a starter in 7 games in 2004.

PR played against Eagles twice and Steelers. 2 great defenses.

Gee, isn't that interesting!

Not sure why everyone thinks we need to hold hands and sing kumbayaw in order for a QB to succeed. Roethlisberger received no coddling whatsoever in Pittsburgh. He just came in and played.

This isn't band camp or boy scout brigade. We aren't teaching crochet and cross weave comfoters here. This isnt cooking class. Sheesh people, why does Ramsey need to much coddling in order to say he has/had a fair shot?

Why not judge him the same way the rest of the world is judged?

Produce or sit. Now I'm very curious what all you people do for a living. When you walk in to work everyday does the boss make your coffee and make sure your confidence is up before he allows you to sit at your desk?

It is NOT Joe Gibbs fault to give Ramsey heart. It's Ramsey's job. For those of you who can't figure that out then I guess we're just at a disconnect, then. Life isn't easy, football isn't easy. You either get it or you don't. Ramsey doesn't get 'it' as much as some here think he does. The proof is in the pudding and our offense has sucked for years with Ramsey on the field.

Gibbs did what was best for the team today, tomorrow, and for the rest of his stay here in DC. It's called consistency. You don't cut Antonio Brown for fumbling then reward Ramsey by starting him for making the same mistakes.
